In a nutshell here is my take on all of the recent arrests/indictments of crooked Democrats. I believe these things are not a coincidence. When two arrests/indictments become three stories then grow to five they demand a closer look. I believe we may be seeing a bottom-level up rebellion in the Department of Justice carried out by the remaining honest FBI agents and what is left of the “Christian Adams” wing of the Department of Justice’s legal staff. These “conspirators” are daring Eric Holder and Barack Obama to try to play “whack-a-mole” all over the country. I agree. Hubris also sets in. In the case of many of the black pols, they think the race card makes them bulletproof. We've had several small town mayors here in North Louisiana indicted, one has gone to jail, and another is about to. I'm proud to say that my newsblog has covered it all extensively.
They sense the ComDem rein of terror is nearing an end. The want to be employed when this is all over. As opposed to being in JAIL.
I tend to agreed with the Coach on this one. It’s not the DOJ cleaning house. This is an insurrection by the few remaining honest agents in the FBI. And I think they sense Obama has been so weakened they can get away with it — and they’ve wanted to do it for years anyhow. So, why wait any longer.
A possible simple answer to your “why now” question is that enough people finally got fed up enough to screw up their courage and do a very gutsy thing. It took quite a few years for American patriots to get fed up enough with George III to screw up their courage and do the right thing.

While looking for material about Katrina ran across several investigative articles on the HUD corruption in NOLA in the Picayune. All seemed to be connected to papa Landrieu who set HUD up under Carter. Then Katrina hit apparently making the issue moot. Couldn’t believe how much corruption was connected to one name. Even the school buses to Aunt Phyllis!

Rush suggested that they are doing this now, because in early October they will go after Republicans. ( Just in time to hog the news before the elections.)
Sometimes these cases take a very long time to build. Just watched “Wolf of Wall Street.” They were after that guy for years.
If King Obama and his head of the Secret police - Holder - were trying to ‘clean house’ before the election they would be taking out honest people - not the crooks.

I think your thesis is distinctly possible.
I’m reminded of the scene in “Wag The Dog” when the spinmeisters had to negotiate with the CIA to keep the latter from dismantling their flagrantly manufactured media campaign.
It was only when the administration gave assurances their actions would not alter “Our Way Of Life” that the CIA agreed to “stand down.”
This could well be an analog that went the other way.
Right now any or/or all theories are on the table plus some you may not have thought of.
We need to know who authorized the nationwide indictments, raids, roundups etc. Did it come from FBI director Comey, from Holder or one of his AAGs, State and Federal District Attorneys (I worked on on Fed/State Organized Crime Task Force under the jurisdiction of the US District Attorney for Southern New York, Mary Jo White), etc.
Then, we need to know how long these investigations have been going on from inception to grand juries to warrants, etc.
I suspect that in the Leland Yee case, the CIA might have also been involved (as they should have been), the ATF, military intelligence agencies, and perhaps the often maligned NSA.
If Leland was dealing with the maoist New Peoples Army (NPA) in the Philippines, or the Moslem Moro Liberation Army (which just signed a peace agreement yesterday with the Philippine Aquino government), then we have two very interesting paths to continue investigations on, i.e. links to the Maoist communists and/or the Moslems MLA/Moslem international arms links, i.e. possibly Al Qaeda, esp. if their group Al Sayeff was involved (Philippine terrorist organization).
Also, how much more Democrat corruption is going to be uncovered in the San Francisco area? There isn’t enough ink to cover all the criminal indictments that should be coming out of the leftist/communist/criminal cesspool, including Nancy Pelosi and her crooked husband.
Rhode Island. Another Democrat cesspool of corruption, along with Boston, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, etc.
We will have to wait and see what is in the indictments to see who the good guys are, as well as who the bad guys are and what their Democrat Party connections are.
HOWEVER, I sense another Al Gore/Buddhist Temple/Red Chinese scandal with Yee. This is something that must not be covered up if it exists.
Also, Rep. Judy Chu (D-Cal) has documented ties to the Red Chinese government which you can find in the book “The Enemies Within: Marxists, Socialists and Progressive in the US Congress”, Trevor Loudon, 2013, www.pacificfreedomfoundation.org and on Amazon.
She’s an old Communist Workers Party leader/worker and the documentation is in this book. I would go so far as to say that she gives all the indications of being a Red Chinese “assett”, if not agent. Would love to know how much RC money was funded through Chinatown into her political coffers.
There is also some not-so-public inklings that a major Chinese political figure in New York City has ties to Red China, and has established a red network there. With DeBlasio in office, the Red Termites are coming out of the woodwork to get city jobs and money.
I hope the New York Post delves into this because I don’t think most other NYC newspapers give a shit about communism penetration of their politics.
As to the possibility that the Dems are sacrificing some of their crooks in order to cover up for those higher up on the food chain, and to give Hillary an “out” re any political relations to these creeps, that is a real possiblity. It all depends on who started the investigations and why.
If some were totally independent investigations that got linked into a major sweep, so be it. But we have got to know the investigative structures that ran the show, be it DOJ, State/FBI local investigations, or possible criminal activities by the Democrat Party’s national organization and programs, esp. fundraising.
There is so much Democrat Party corruption out there that Nancy Pelosi would have to spend a lifetime draining those “swamps of corruption” before she could see their bottoms. But then, again, she would be caught in that “drain” and sucked down the criminal cesspool that is the Democrat Party.
Next, Harry Reid. Mobbed up or not? I’ll go for “Mobbed UP”, for $1,000 and put Reid’s criminal ass in “JEOPARDY”.

It was only a few short weeks ago than a long-time darling of San Francisco Liberals and a so-called “human rights advocate”, a “gay” man, was arrested and charged with assisting in the trafficking of pedophilia, with 1000s of images of children performing sexual acts on his computer.
Liberals are SO impressed with themselves and their own “good intentions” that nearly all else about their politicians, celebrities and “public heroes” can be ignored most of the time, as all the political and personal corruption is less important than the “wonderful things” their good intentions are doing.

The FBI lost two valuable people ‘falling’ out of a training chopper right after nosing around the Boston Bombings investigation.
It could be as simple as our Good Guys refusing to take any more of this persecution, if they sense there’s about to be a total annihilation of these Commie injectees into our Patriotic American Stance.
It takes a lot of parental support- across the middle and upper class - to supply our intel with patriots. These families are not going to supply their heirs to a traitorous system.
