If you thought that the Left's arguments in favor of wealth-redistribution were factless and short-sighted, you haven't read "The One Rich Guy," a new comic published on the Daily Kos today.
It has everything a liberal could want: a stereotypical, evil rich man with a top hat and monocle, people making fun of capitalism, and no logical explanation as to why any of this might happen and no solutions.
And, of course, it relies heavily on the fallacy that if someone is rich, why, he must be stealing from everyone else!
Gird your loins. The comic is called "The Modern World," by Tom Tomorrow. And today's edition is named "The One Rich Guy:"
Maybe its about Warren Buffett, Peter Lewis, George Soros, Bill Gates......
Same old rabid Democrat drivel.
What progressivism doesn’t tell you about that “rich guy” is that they aren’t really after his money; they’re after yours, mine and ours - yes, even you dumba$$ Democrat voters out there who are stupid enough to believe that “rich guy” can fund all your needs, desires and wants.
The only ones that come off scot free here are the entitlement leeches who will never have to pay for squat while they aimlessly flounder on this earth. The rest of us will be paying in spades.

What Tommy boy doesn’t realize is the “One Rig Guy” got that way because of the money he spread around government to pass laws that on the surface looked like their would punish him but actualy targeted the middle sized businesses nipping at his heels, once they were put to sleep he was free to use BIG government as an enforcer to gain access to everything...
BIG GOV/BIZ is a power monopoly. You remove BIG government you remove the tool that BIG BIZ loves to use to keep their monopoly.... True there is more chaos with out the government artifically controlling everything but the levers of power are shifted to the “gods of the copybook headings” and not to ANY ONE corruptable individual or group....
If not got GOVERNMENT CORPRATE WELFARE bot DIRECT and INDIRECT via WELFARE to the “Working Poor” we wouldn’t have the “one rich guy” ie. Warren Buffet, George Soros, etc etc.... Not to mentional all the regulations that cripple small and medium biz, that the big biz somehow get around because they can use an army of lawyers to loophole their way around them.
But it is not Big Biz itself that is the problem, but Big Biz being able to use Big Gov to control “the natural selection of business” into their own “intelligent design”. Which is something only the “gods of the copybook headings” should handle and not mere mortal men...

they think the market is a zero-sum arena where when one does well, it must be because someone else had to fail/suffer.
they don’t understand innovation and invention continually expand the marketplace which doesn’t mean someone doing well is at the expense of others.
the reason they all think it’s zero-sum is because in soviet/commie countries, IT IS A ZERO-SUM market arena, if you can even call it a market.
the only way people get ahead, often in these places, is because of someone else’s loss. or they attempt to bypass the official’system entirely and go blaxk market, but they can’t do too well, otherwise flags go off, people see they are doing well and wonder whocthey are screwing over andalert authorities.

Instead of using the Communist created term “Capitalism” to defend Free markets, I think we should use term “Voluntary Goods Exchange”. Because Communisim is antethesis of this as it is “Forced Good Confiscation”.
