Yahoo Voices ^ | January 28, 2014 | Mark R. Whittington

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. was recently censored by Arizona Republicans for being too much of a RINO and a generally irascible fellow. Sarah Palin has taken to her Facebook page to rally to the venerable war hero's defense.

Any debt Palin owes McCain was paid with her steadfast VP candidacy and her support of his re-election as Senator.

I see her creating some distance with this statement, which she needs to do. Glad she did it.

I love Sarah and she should be defended, I excepted her support of McCain in his election, because loyalty does matter.

I cannot defend her on this, I understand there is more to the context, but overall it appears supportive.

I think you meant "senile, elderly, decrepit old"

Okay - he said it was RUMORED - that his daddy the admiral pulled those strings - so it was word of mouth - and a rumour - I should have been more clear about that.

However, I have a different take. It’s called not burning your bridges.

You don't have to pander to slime to not burn bridges. I mean just look at this:

I consider Senator John McCain an American hero and a friend. He fights to remind our President that the federal government's first priority must be strong defense of our homeland, and, like Congressman Johnson, he fights against big-spending colleagues who don't prioritize for our military's needs. Upon the Senator's shoulders he's carried part of our message of opposition to today's "fundamental transformation" of America directly to the problem: President Obama and Harry Reid's far left agenda.
Right.
Look at the underlined.

Did you catch that other thread? McQueeg is now saying he wasn’t going to run, but the Censure has made him change his mind. What a lying little pr**k.

I’m afraid I’ve come to the same conclusion as you. Let’s find some good now....

Well, when you think of it Hillary has been loyal to Bill too.

A Palin/Clinton head to head would probably cause you at least some angst over who to vote for, loyalty to their man being the only thing that counts.

Howabout a Palin/Clinton ticket?
(That'd be the Democrat ticket, the Republican would -undoubtedly- be worse, like: Christie/Snowe.)

geez that was the stupidest comment on the interweb today

everyone here is dumber for having read it

I say I think Palin is just showing loyalty, and you say “well then vote for hillary because she was loyal to Bill and that’s all you care about”

How to you make that mental leap? Where, in any of my comment, did I say that was ALL I cared about?

This type of conversation is frustrating and wasteful, and makes people question of you are smart enough to be a conservative. Go use that kind of logic on DUHmmie land where they INVENTed this kind of idiocy.

>>Did you actually read the article? Palin did not give McCain a free pass - not even close.<<

In 35 posts, not a single person read the full article. That’s obvious. How FReepers can be so opinionated and yet so ignorant is beyond belief. What is so difficult about reading the full article and learning why she praised him and then slapped him down?

What’s wrong with these people?

McCain brought Palin to prominence.

Like it or not they are largely joined at the hip.

>>There is no point except the truth. Palin is not what we need either. We need real business types to get this country out of hoc.<<

Here you are going to slander her and you didn’t even read the article. You’re going to advise everyone to spit on her when you are too lazy to learn what she said about McCain. UNBELIEVABLE!

This just tells me Palin has ANOTHER admirable trait, loyalty.

That's exactly what it is, LOYALTY and that is an admirable quality considering the individual she is defending..........

Right or wrong, you never turn your back on the individual or company who contributed to your position in life..........

How about loyalty to principle, ideaal, truth and the republic? McCain only chose her becasue he thought it would further his ambitions. He did not do it for her he did it for himself.

I fully expect it. He’s Senator for Life. Ted Kennedy. He goes out of the office feet-first, I’ve said it hundreds of times.

How about a Palin/Clinton ticket?   The way I formated my comments, you may have thought I was trying to suggest a Palin/Clinton ticket, when I actually meant them being the nominee of their own party, and running against each other.

The way I took your response, was that you morphed my intended focus to one of your own, for the sake of humor.  If I am wrong, go ahead and correct me.

Look, a Clinton/Almost Anything short of Obama ticket, would be the worst I could think of.  Gag me to the X.

(That'd be the Democrat ticket, the Republican would -undoubtedly- be worse, like: Christie/Snowe.)

Honestly, I would hate the Christie/Snowe ticket too, because they would be doing a myriad of very Leftist things during their four years.  And worse yet, those Leftist things would be done under the (R) label, practically destroying our brand in the process.

That was my big probem with Bush (the most recent).
