INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (CBS/AP) A Lake Tahoe couple filed a police report saying they received numerous death threats and harassing messages after reporting problems with a black bear that was captured and euthanized by Nevada wildlife officials.
Richard and Adrienne Evans of Incline Village filed the report with the Washoe County Sheriffs Office on Thursday, the same day the bear was killed.

That’s it. Wildlife here is pretty good about relocating but generally only once.
Pfffft. We had a black bear that came into our yard almost every day for a few years. Finally, we stopped composting and putting bird seed in our bird feeders and it hasn’t come back.
Pretty much everyone that lives at the lake has bear resistant trash containers. Bears come into to town looking for easy meals and because they have become accustomed to people. They are relocated unless it’s become habitual.
The people doing the complaining about (bears, horses, coyotes, whatever) being killed and/or relocated/rounded up wouldn’t dream of actually spending time or money taking care of the animal or living with them in the yard, they always expect someone else to do that. :)
