Our family is heavily involved in FIRST Robotics. I have a favor to ask. Up Next- Team 3528 made a video and entered it in the Rockwell Automation "Engineering Our Future" video contest describing what we would engineer to help change the world. Theyre giving away $10,000 in team grants to use on future projects. It's all based on the number of votes, so we need to get as many people to vote between now and November 29. They allow you to vote once every 24 hours, so Id appreciate if you could vote as many days as possible.
In our video, we have shared about our Hero Project - a partnership we have with DAV and Wounded Warriors Family Support to engineer devices to help our disabled vets live independent lives.
Do you think you could go to the Rockwell Automation website and vote for our video?

Thanks for your support!

PS. If you feel inspired, please forward to others. We are competing against other teams in high schools around the country with lots and lots of students.
Our team was featured on KCTV5 news this morning http://www.kctv5.com/story/23939836/robots-from-area-students-help-disabled
Metmom- would you consider pinging this to the ARTH ping list if you think it’s worthy?
Are you back yet, wagglebee? If so, would you consider voting for my son’s team? They are incredible kids. I can’t write a check for $10K to their team but I can help spread the word and give them a fighting chance at this grant. Thanks in advance!
In for the win!
Voted for your team. FIRST is a great program, and your team has chosen a worthy project. Good luck!
You guys are fantastic! Thank you so much!! It is one vote every 24 hours until the 29th. Any day you remember to vote please know that we are extremely appreciative! :0)
I won’t miss a single day. Good Luck! :)
Thank you for posting the link correctly. My son is the computer whiz in our house. Obviously I am not!
If there are any ping list moderators out there that are interested in spreading the word for us, I won’t be sad. We are in 6th place at the moment. The lead group has a lead of more than 2000 votes. Our chances aren’t great but there is still plenty of time for a come back!
It’s easy. FreeRepublic software automatically makes a hot link when you post the URL. BUT, this only works in a “reply”. It doesn’t make a hot link in the original post, so you have to repeat it down further in a reply.
Supporting homeschoolers ping
Help this Robotics team win a prize from Rockwell Automotion by voting for their project. Rockwell is a Wisconsin company, even though these kids are from Missouri.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Thanks for the tip! I didn’t know that it was that easy. And if it helps the Wisconsin board, our family lived in Sheboygan for a few years before moving back to Missouri. :0)
Yes, I struggled with the HTML code for years before somebody tipped me to the simple improvement John Robinson made a few years back.
That is an excellent improvement!
FIRST Robotics ping!
Thanks, ShadowAce! You guys are awesome!!
You got my vote.

Have a great season
Very cool! Our team has about 22 kids right now. This is my son’s first year and I’m blown away by the time commitment. He is definitely in his element, though. He’s learned more from this team in the last two months than he would have gotten from me in a lifetime! Here is their website. http://teamupnext.com/
Season hasn’t started yet. You haven’t even begun to get blown away by the time commitment. Every night for 6-8 weeks gets pretty old after a while, but it’s lots of fun and an amazing display of innovation by the kids. That’s the mind blowing part.
You’ll love the competitions. We made World’s by winning Rookie of the year and Engineering Inspiration Awards. 400 teams competing in an NFL stadium is really cool.
I even missed my 25th and 26th wedding anniversaries to go to World’s. (with the full support of my wife)
