.........That wasn't what the president promised. But wait, the president can explain. It's not what we think. People wont have the same insurancethey will have better insurance, administration officials assure. That's not the way some of the people receiving these letters see it. The president's original promise was so ironclad and repeated so often that any explanation now sounds like dissembling.
[SNIP]
In the summer of 2009,the president began to tailor his message to assuage these very people. If you liked what you had,it wasnt going to change. That was a broad and simplified claim and the press called him on it. The president could never make that promise. He didn't have the power to keep insurance companies from changing their policies in response to the law. Nevertheless, the president continued to make the claim in the desperate attempt to sell his unpopular plan.
This was a time bomb embedded in the legislation. It might have been mitigated if the website had worked...had been humming as administration officials so fervently hoped, there would be no broader context for debates about whether the president is living up to his promises. And in this specific instance, the flourishing of the site might have offered loads of examples of people in that individual market whose plans had only changed for the better. Of course, thats not what happened....
When the website doesn't work and the promises of 2009 and 2010 are revised, questions of credibility infect everything the administration says. This can lead to a death spiral as administration officials make bold assertions to distract from the current challenges....
...A key critique of the Republican Party's recent attempt to defund Obamacare was that it was a strategy born of limited vision. They couldnt see that it was doomed to fail spectacularly. Four years ago, with the Affordable Care Act,they saw this moment coming.

To me, it is the weak Republican response to all of this that makes me ill! If this is the best that the Republicans can do, bring on the Libertarians! I give up already!
They didn't think the individual would have to pay those things...............
What kind of moron would think that the 49%'ers who pay no income taxes would be willing to pay $10,000 per year for what they don't pay for right now?
Is there a such thing as an industry wide Pulitzer Punishment for thrusting us toward an Idiocracy?
It was a curious thing to watch.
Government shutdown for seventeen-odd days, suddenly spiraling downward. A massive one week period of the media dumping on the Republicans....talking peppy over how they screwed up and how this was going to divide the Republicans in 2014. Total victory for President Obama.
Then a week goes by, and the web platform is suddenly page one news, and a failure. If the President had taken Cruz’s advice and settled on negotiation...today, he’d be in the clear and no real issues to talk about or work through the Sunday political chat shows.
Chaos, after chaos, after chaos. This is like the 1977 New York Yankees with Billy Martin, Reggie Jackson, and George Steinbrenner running on turbo...365 days out of the year. A World Series in total chaos....daily.
Always remember. When Democrats speak they lie. When they are silent they are stealing the American Dream.

“It Gets Better - The president always had a tough time selling Obamacare. Now his weak assurances are making Republicans look wise beyond their years.”
You’ll have better health care. It may bankrupt you within a couple years, but then the government will subsidize it for you. And you will be covered for conditions you cannot possibly have.
Agree.. the GOP has a terrible time getting it’s ideas out. Pathetic at best and when you have a guy like Cruz that knows how to get attention and be heard they demonize him.
....and everything will be rationed, doctors will be scarce - result: they’ll decide the winners and losers - who is provided with what [so you better be nice to the dictators].
The thing is, is someone owns a house but doesn’t bother to get at least catastrophic insurance for himself, then if he does get very sick, he shouldn’t make others pay for that while he keeps his assets.
So yes, people should lose their houses because they get sick—if they didn’t bother with insurance and that’s the only way they can pay for their care.
And if they couldn’t afford the insurance, they couldn’t afford the house—and should have cashed out earlier.
The problem is millions were buying health insurance but will now be unable to afford it.
Same bandageings, castings, syringes for subcutaneous, intramuscular shots, and oral drenches.
Works for me. When my wife was pregnant we had our herd ultrasound preg checker do my wife after she finished all the bred cows. The ultrasound was just as good as the one from the hospital, only she did it in the barn on a chair. It cost the same $3.00 per head too!
Sounds like lying to me.
But if they get really sick, they can still go on the healthcare dole and keep their house.
does the vet ask any questions when you buy antibiotics? are medicines just setting on the shelf so i can just go grab some amoxicillin and take it to the register?
what if i walk in there as a total stranger with a suit and tie and they ask me what kind of livestock i have? just tell them it’s for my kitty?
No questions asked. It’s for animal use. Certain vet meds can only be dispensed by a vet, but he leaaves you the whole bottle, and that’s only on substances that are controlled. Stuff like penacillin, arythromycin, tetracycline, and lots of other dual use drugs to treat ailments, infections of all types, and pain are just off the shelf at your local farm supply brick-n-mortar store.
thank you
