My novel "Foreign Enemies And Traitors" free on Kindle this week.
Amazon Kindle store ^ | October 28, 2012 | Matt Bracken

Foreign Enemies And Traitors, the final novel in my Enemies Trilogy, is free on Kindle through the end of October.

You don't need to have read the other books to enjoy it. About five years pass between the three novels, only a few characters carry over, and they take place in different regions with different subjects and scenarios. This is not a series where you get to the end of a book and it leaves on a cliffhanger, forcing you to buy the next one. Each is a complete novel standing on its own.

Just click the book cover to go to the Kindle store on the correct page to download Foreign Enemies And Traitors. The price will read $0.00. Feel free to share the link and the free offer anywhere on the internet.

Thanks,

Matt

THREE HOURS? Holy Smokes! That must be a record. It took me three years to write each of those novels, so what a totally different experience to absorb the finished products in a compressed time frame.

For me, those novels represent three years literally spent in a writing closet, staring at a wall covered with maps, pictures, sayings etc above an old laptop that has never been connected to the internet.

This publishing company has a pretty extensive marketing arm. I tried the self marketing and it was next to impossible.

I hope yours does well.

You're welcome.

Just finished reading Castigo Cay. Whew! What a story! ... Also lost several nights sleep reading into wee hours of the morning.

Looking forward to your next book.

It’s not as popular as my Trilogy novels, which is kind of disappointing. But I really wanted to go in a different direction. After almost a million words in three connected novels, I was feeling very constrained.

My next novel is another Dan Kilmer story, a decade later and darker, set between Ireland and Morocco with a sea jihad theme. Wiki “the sack of Baltimore Ireland” and update it 400 years to a girls boarding school in SW Ireland being raided, and a hundred young girls being carried away to Morocco for ransom or auction as harem slaves.

The backdrop is Europe in a depression and civil war against the Islamist invaders, and totally unable to afford air or sea patrols over the Atlantic. The modern Barbary corsairs fill the vacuum, once again pirating ships and conducting land raids for slaves.

Thank you very much for these, have them downloaded, getting through the first one. Also getting angry reading it, because like when John Ross wrote Unintended Consequences, I have no doubt people in government believe citizens can’t shoot worth a damn.

If you can get through the first (EFAD) I think the next two are better written. The stories and characters in EFAD are strong, but my writing craft has improved with each book.

BTW, Foreign Enemies And Traitors is now up to #24 on the Kindle top 100 free list.
