On Friday Illinois congressman Adam Kinzinger continued the seemingly endless line of attack from establishment Republicans against Texas Senator Ted Cruz over the effort to defund Obamacare that resulted in a 16 day partial shutdown of 17 percent of the federal government.
Kinzinger had the following to say to Buzzfeed:
I dont think theres any question [its worse]. I could have written this story from day one. If you follow the Cruz plan, you end up exactly where we are, Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger told BuzzFeed. I think its obvious that we had a really grown up plan on how to deal with this, we had some in our party who rejected that, and we had to go along with [the Cruz] plan.
Asked if unhappiness with Cruz is widespread in the conference, Kizinger said, Sure yeah, absolutely. I think we all feel the same.

The RINOs crossed the line from sabotage to treachery. First, they pretend to be "tea party reformers" to get our support for taxes not being raised. Then, when Obamacare came up, they pretended to be opposed to it but sabotaged conservatives, from within the party when there was a chance to stop it, and destroy the Obama presidency. Now you have the unbelievable treachery of the way the globalist-elitist-procorporate ptb are treating those who believe the way they campaigned. What's next? More invaders to provide cheap labor?
Whoever heard of members of ones own party siding with the opposition when their power and priorities got put up to the test? Maybe we do have to have a new political party. Let McCain and the minimcains rot alone within the party they destroyed, wallowing in their pork barrel sellouts.
Thank you and thanks for the link.
IL, pumping out idiots for a century.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
Did kizinger vote for the pork in the bill or did he even bother to find out it was not a “clean resolution”. Probably one of those who didn’t think he could win the district as a democrat.
This letter from Don Manzullo was not what the corrupt spineless quislings who call themselves "GOP leaders" wanted to hear. They raised a ton of special interest money from Texas construction moguls (dependent on federal waste and largesse?) to fund Kinzinger's unrelieved campaign of lies and distortions of Don's exemplary record.
Kinzinger won the primary and was effectively unopposed in the general election. I did not vote for him. I shall never vote for him. He is dishonest trash and a willing footstool for Boehner after Kinzinger lied his way into Congress in the Chicagoland 11th District. Kinzinger ran as a Tea Party candidate there and betrayed the Tea Party reflexively in DC as Boehner's loyal lap puppy.
I hope that David Hale destroys Kinzinger in the primary. If the Tea Party folks are wise, they will have an independent candidate in reserve in case Kinzinger wins. Since Illinois has a so-called "sore loser law" which precludes a losing primary candidate from running in the general election for the same office, let Kinzinger be opposed in every primary and every election until he is obliterated.
Hopefully, residents of the Peoria district of that other worthless weasel Aaron Schock will deal similarly with him.
The only Illinois Congressman deserving of re-election is Randy Hultgren. It would also be a great idea to bring Bobby Schilling back to defeat Cheri Bustos.
“If you follow the Cruz plan, you end up exactly where we are,
Sorry, dude. In order to end up at this same place, you would need the principled stand taken by Sen. Cruz AND THE SLIMEBALL RESPONSE HE GOT FROM THE GOPe.
IMO they blew their brains out and McConnell was the trigger man.
That's great news. Unfortunately for me, the "re-districting" that Madigan drew knocked me out of a solid Republican district and into that milquetoast piece of shit Dan Lipinski's district.
I'm in that one tiny sliver that runs into Will county, just enough to make sure that the welfare queens and the Chicago filth counter my one vote 10x over.
Gawd I hate this state and can't wait to get the EFF outta here.
Thanks for the ping. Kinzinger has been a major disappointment. He sought Tea Party support when he was running against Dem Debbie Halvorsen. I attended a big rally that was held for him right before the election and there was alot of excitement and interest in this “up and comer”. I saw one analysis that showed he voted conservative 54% of the time. So he’s a typical Illinois Republican. I have no respect for politicians who use the Tea Party to get elected and then do a 180. We need more reps like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz.
