I thought I was alone in doing that...wonderful to know that I’m not alone. And I was formerly a life long GM guy too.
When those busloads of ACORN dupes went to the home of the GM bondholders to intimidate them over their legal rights...that’s when it hit home.
Goodbye Republic, hello sub-Saharan negro marxist government, where the laws mean what ever you want them to.
And while the whites have due process, negros have royal like privileges.
We bought a Ford F150 King Ranch last year. It wasn’t built by Government Motors!
The UAW wants to throw its support at Obama. They can eat their cars.
As long as GM means “government motors”, it doesn’t matter what they make. It is my way of protesting the outrage of the theft and the buyout of the “bailout”, something that violated the enumerated powers the Constitution grants to the federal government.
Did not even consider a GM product, looked at a Ford F-150, but seemed like I needed a step ladder to get in it (bad knees). Bought a Honda Ridgeline. Love it!
Me, Id rather die than buy a GM product.
Same in our house, we’d walk to work before we supported Government Motors ever again!
Good thread. I’ve thought the same thing myself. I won’t buy GM. I thought it was just me.
Gave up on GM cars long ago. Gave up on GM trucks after it became Government Motors.
This ex-GM Buyer is ... I drive an '01 Silverado with 215K miles on it ... still going strong. GM's problem is that it's my last one from them ... they are dead to me.
I prefer to explain that Americans are Rewarding Ford for cleaning up their situation as opposed to GM going to the government to have the taxpayers pay to fix GMs problems.

Ditto.
Loved my Excursion and Escape.
Now I love my Expedition.
I need a new truck and I do not like the Ford or Toyota so I am still driving a 2004 GMC and will continue to drive it until something changes.
“One of them got $10,500 off on a Volt”
Probably still not a good deal due to massive depreciation as the super expensive battery slowly dies.
Engineer a GOOD truck again, and that will change.
Keep pandering to the FedGov and the Unions and GM will go the way of AZLK - Автомобильный завод имени Ленинского Комсомола.
Yes and no. I bought mine right before the bail-out but i will not buy another because it is a POS. Nearly all the electric windows and door locks have stopped working, oil pressure sensor, and some other issues none of which happened until warranty went out.

Agreed. Even with $10.5k off it’s still about $5000 more expensive than the gas car it’s based on. But his wife is one of those green nuts. She carries concealed and helps him pour concrete. So she’s probably worth the annoyance.
I honestly wouldn’t take a GM anything if it were given to me!
Same thing here. My business partner just bought a new 2013 F150 with all the bells and whistles! He was a diehard GM customer until 0 took over and screwed over everyone.
“She carries concealed and helps him pour concrete. So shes probably worth the annoyance.”
I’d say so.
If you want a Ford, message me. I can get you a Friends and Neighbor discount. Haven’t used any of ours this year.
