This is why I love Ted Cruz. He thinks like a fighter. He told Laura Ingraham this morning that for the things Obama said he would shut down like the VA and National Parks, the house should vote on individual CRs to put the funding back in the VA and the National Parks and then send to the Senate. Cruz said we should do it for everything in the parade of horribles Obama mentioned yesterday that he would shut down.

I just heard Hannity say we need to encourage everyone in the house by calling 202-224-3121 and just say "HOLD THE LINE!"

Fund only those things that fall under Art I, Sec 8,
and label them in the bills as such.

Yep. Starting with major dependency programs, and then when the Senate turns it down scream that they hate whoever the victim is. The Dems do this all the time. Why not us?

Thank God for the Tea Party!

Yes. Do a CR for each agency, etc. one each day and let the Dems in the Senate shoot them down, then jump in front of a "news" media camera and complain about how "we're trying to get the government going again, but the Dems in the Senate keep refusing to cooperate".
Have many House and Senate Repubs saying the same thing over and over and over. Take the initiative, be proactive. Wake up, Repubs! Now's the time to strike!

After Harry the Fairy’s “sad day for America” performance last night at midnight, complete with the timid and nearly quivering voice shtick, I can hardly wait to see his reaction to this.
If they do this and Harry/the Senate reject them he is gonna be one unpopular guy with each of the Agencies as their funding is rejected.

Ted Cruz is absolutely right. One way to shame the Dems is to make them vote on this leviathan one piece at a time.
They won't make a real budget, so let's get 'em on record for EACH AND EVERY PROGRAM.

He should say “the House of Representatives is exercising its Constitutionally granted Power of the Purse to exempt certain Government departments from the Obama shutdown.”

I heard the suggestion concerning individual CRs yesterday. It’s such a practical way to fund other constitutionally indefensible federal spending programs, while discriminating against Obamacare in particular, that if the RINO-controlled House doesn’t do it then we’ll know that the House is really playing games with us on Obamacare.
In fact, why didn’t House take this approach long before the shutdown?
To: TLI
Need to do this because it puts the hot potato right back in Reid's lap!
Then Cruz needs to do an ad using today's Honor Flight heroes breaking down the barrier to the WWII Monument, with words to the effect: you can take the veteran out of the fight, but never the fight out of the veteran!
