This is what Cruz meant when he said the votes are not there. The usual moderate crowd will be with the democrats and against the conservatives (unless they're up for reelection, in which case they'll pretend they're with the conservatives).

“unless they’re up for reelection, in which case they’ll pretend they’re with the conservatives”
Can anyone say boehner?
I don’t trust that sloppy drunk democrat as far as I could throw him. He’s got a back door plan with the imposter sure as you can say RINO.
Add Shelby, Flake, McConnell, Blunt, Graham, Alexander, and Hatch to the list. Sad commentary on Republican party.
I can see it now. When asked about their reason on voting against the CR, they quietly say, “I wasn’t really trying to get it repealed, I just wanted to stay in Washington. Uh next question?”
Burr huh?
I’ll remember this in primary season.
They believe in bipartisanship...Working with people who denouced God at their convention , want Christians to kill their babys at US expence, destroy institutions like the Boy and Girl scouts, seize your 401K retirement accounts, ,
Sounds like Senator Burr needs to be primaried. Let’s hope a Ted Cruz republican runs against Burr next time around. I’m disappointed to hear Burr has turned into a liberal elitist since he joined the Senate. Doesn’t he know his state had become more conservative, not less?
Keep the pressure on. HARD.
See my tagline.
