My wife is very ill and in need of prayer. She was diagnosed with blood clots in her legs several weeks ago and was put on Cumadin and sent home. The Cumadin didn't work, she developed additional clots and several migrated to her lungs. She was sent to the ER and then admitted to the hospital and a CT scan was ordered. The scan showed several clots in her lungs and it also showed a mass on her liver. The oncologist first diagnosed liver cancer and since the mass was relatively small we were hopeful that surgery and a round of chemo would take care of it. Yesterday the oncologist informed my wife that her situation was 'much worse than I originally thought' and told her that the tumor on her liver was a met, not a primary tumor. However, they haven't yet found out what her primary cancer is...they told her she metatastic disease but can't tell her what cancer.
We're both in a fog and feeling lost. I feel like I've been through hell these last three days, I can't imagine what my dear wife must think! She's putting on a brave face and trying to stay positive but this week has been brutal.
Please pray for her. Pray for healing and for her comfort. She is my wife of thirty years, my best friend and soul mate. I will be absolutely lost without her...

Janet is my mother’s name. Continuing to ask the Lord for healing and comfort for Janet and for you and you family. Your love sustains her. The Lord’s love sustains you both. You are surrounded by His Love and miracles. Open your hearts and arms and allow Him to be with you. Went through this type of situation in 2009 with my father. So hard when we are in the midst of the long hard days to remember to accept the Lord’s love and gifts. To just take a quiet moment somewhere and let Him remind you of His love for you.

It breaks my heart to report that she has lost her battle and passed away sometime in the evening of 7-31 or early morning of 8-1-14.
She'd been in the hospital since the previous Thursday because she developed jaundice. She felt pretty good that day...had been to Physical Therapy in the morning and had her nails done in the sfternoon. It was after her nail appointment that I noticed her eyes had yellowed and took her to the ER. She started to really get sicker after that. An MRI showed a tumor in her bile duct that seemed to backing everything up so a stent was placed in the bile duct. The procedure went very well but didn't produce the desired result. In fact her bilirubin increased. The next plan was to insert an external drain and relieve the blockage that way. We decided to try because if her liver enzymes could be reducd to normal there was a chance that she would be eligible for SIR T treatment which has started showing some promise in Cholangiocarcinoma patients. However, when she cam back from the procedure on Thursday afternoon she was in excruciating pain. Agony is not an exaggeration. I've never seen anyone in such misery. It took over an hour (seemed like 4-5 hours) for the Pain Team to get her pain under control. Once they did she was able to fall asleep. I slept in the room with her, as I had since she was admitted. The nurses decided they would forego the usual hourly vitals and would only check them once she was awake. She never woke up and when they decided to do them anyway at about 4:00am they discovered that she had died.
The plan was that she would be discharged Friday and hospice was called. After seeing her absolute agony on Thursday I was terrified that she would have a repeat episode with only me at home and I wouldn't be able to help her. Thank God that He decided to spare her any more pain and called her home. It hurts so much to have lost her but I'm grateful that she's not in that awful pain!

OMG PGK, my heartfelt condolences. Your beautiful wife is now in the presence of the Lord and I know she will be waiting for you when it is your turn. I know your hurting but remember Death cannot separate LOVE. She is with you in spirit believe me she is. Right now take your time to grief and just remember any future birthdays is a step forward to be with God and your wife. I am sure she was greeted not just by our Heavenly Father but also her family and friends who passed before her. Your wife PGK simply changed residence. While there is mourning here on Earth there is celebration on the other side greeting her. Again I”m so sorry to hear your lose. May God comfort you and the rest of the family.
