220 VAC doesn’t feel so good either when someone says, “Let me help!”
* click of ancient pre-lockout/tag out box being turned back on. Sound of busted foil path vaporizing under fingers as hand is repelled backwards*
I have yet to get the binocs...I will have fun with them nevertheless!
I’m anxious to see the mag of the binocs...my dad bought me a pair of 3X when I wasn’t much more than a tot, because we had a bird watcher in the ‘hood. I used them for two summers and then they “disappeared.”
It’s been sadly silly since then...I want to SEE! He was blind in one eye, so he had a HUGH monocular. But I don’t have the slightest clue where it went. No doubt, my mother sold it.
Oh so sorry. We are fresh out of Kewpie Dolls. I do, however, have a voluminous over abundance of extra white that is created by the Whitefurbeast with No-Tail-To-Tell. I could bale up a suitable amount up to and including all of it and ship it your way... Here's a photo for color-matching purposes to make sure it matches any white you have there..
I have 10 x 50’s and a small spotting scope.
My mom has 15 x 50’s.
Space weather.com has some skymaps available detailing the next few days.
It has been so long since I have seen a star chart! I will check out spaceweather.com as soon as I get the binocs.
And FYI: Any help I can get in THIS field of endeavor is much more than appreciated! Memories cannot be categorized, as they come at random. Thanks, Darks!
Welcome.
My binocs are by Bushnell.
I had been looking for variable power binocs, but wasn’t successful in that endeavor at the time.
Sporting goods store is a good place to start.
We used to have a good place to shop for telescopes, but they went belly up under the Clinton presidency.
(World of Science)
Since the binocs are from an unknown entity, I have no clue what I will be able to see, or not. It’s going to be a massively awesome late birthday and/or early Christmas present!

Ungh/ungh!
I’m going to bed. I am SO up past my bedtime!
Manana!
Sky & Telescope and Astronomy magazine both have in their pages “Marine binocs” with 80 and higher size objective lenses.
Heavy, and hard to point at anything with any real precision.
Next time you get a broom, make sure it's the kind that has a removable handle. When you aren't sweeping, take the handle out and use it as a mono-pod, to rest the heavy binoculars on.
Takes the weight off, and gives a steadier image. Just think how it will enhance the sweep of your vision!
My tripod currently is occupied with stomping ruin.
My monopod is being singularly stubborn.
The bipod walked off.
*sigh*
Aren’t you glad you don’t have to deal with eight-legged spiderbots?
Oh, I sent them off to bother someone.
OK, I get that now
It is good to know there are some nice people left out there.
No, kitteh was napping in there because it's warm and vibrates ... when it's working.
That’s just wonderful! We have a very modest telescope, and sometimes we get it out and look at the moon, mostly. I remember one Hallowe’en, Anoreth was carrying it around, dressed in her regular clothes (jeans, leather jacket, cowboy hat), and people kept asking her what her costume was.
“Indiana Jones.”
“I’m an alien hunter!”
Ah, malfunction 1-m30w.
