I have no idea who’s cat it is. She just appears in the yard, and my kitteh inside the house freaks out so badly he’s actually attacked one of my other kittehs. I think the miscreant is the mother of Fred the Insane, who is the one who was attacked. She looks just like him.

I will try some orange-based cleaner I have at home. It will probably work better than Ammonia.

I found it out by accident. I was trying to get rid of the odor, but once i sprayed the screen with orange, i never heard the dog at my door again...at least, not long enough to mark the door. One sniff and he was gone. :-]

So. How does Mr. Elusively Inert like the 30 hours he is being a responsible adult?

Ammonia is what makes pee smell...for cats and dogs, it is an attractant, not a deterrent! If a dog or cat smells ammonia that is not their own, their instinct is to cover it with their own, which obviously, is pleasing to them.

If Inert is working 30 hours/week in retail, he is an epic fail at being inert.

Be proud! :^)

Well, that settles it. Ammonia would be an epic fail, although covering it up would give her something better to do than pester Thunder. The orange-based cleaner sounds like a good idea. Heck, I’d use EZ-Off if it wouldn’t destroy the fence in the process...lol...

If it’s really a “she,” I need to do something drastic pretty quickly or I’ll have to deal with a box, a drive I don’t want, and a lot of tears on the way.

Well, just damn. You don’t have a lot of options, do you. That sounds grim. Sorry.

If I were in your shoes, I would trap, spay, and release her.

When we had our first two cats, if we left the front door of our condo open (had a screen door, too), a neighbor’s cat would
sit outside the door, a tiny, tiny Siamese. She was an adult, just very small. She just sat there, staring in, not saying a word.

Muffin, our male would go berserk and attack our female, Tiger. She was a little *itch, and she held a grudge against Muffin
for two weeks at a time.

We stopped leaving the door open, and we opened the sliding glass door to our itty bitty fenced-in patio instead. The little
interloper couldn’t get over that fence. She was too tiny.

If it IS a she, and she is spraying, it is probably because of a urinary/kidney problem. If so, your ability to help may be restricted by financial considerations as well as...what will happen to her when she is well?

I wish you Godspeed, in either case.

I have a lot of cat stories, some cute and happy, and others tragic, but I love all my cats, those I have now, and those who are waiting at the Rainbow Bridge.

I don’t know if she’s spraying or not. She just driving poor Thunder NUTz by being there.

If someone is a cat-hater, it’s most likely because that person instinctively knows you CANNOT fool a cat. A dog, maybe. A cat, never!

I love every critter who is playing at the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for me to cross...

Try the orange cleaner wherever you see the cat sitting or crossing your property. Don’t waste it on wide areas. Eventually, you will cover it all.

Yeah, I was going to concentrate on a section of the back fence. I doubt she’s coming over the sides because both neighbors have big goggies.

He doesn’t like it very much, but it’s already giving him a more realistic picture of what the real world is going to be like. And he is going to like it when he gets his first full paycheck!

If he makes it through a month, I think he’ll be able to stick it out at least through Christmas/New Year’s ... and by then, he might as well stay there until the end of the school year in May!

One of my friends who works in retail said that new employees often have a lot of hours the first few weeks, and then it drops off. If so, he’ll have a little more time for his social life ... and if not, he’ll have more pay.

By the time the holidays are over with, His Elusive Inertness will have one of two facts embedded in his brain: he will either want to WORK for a living, or he may consider a career in the air force...steady pay, 3 meals a day, a cot and unlimited internet access to the Internet.

What more could he want? Ohyah...no sibs to bother him...
