School administrations continue to hang posters in cafeterias trying to convince students that what is being fed to them is "fun food" which is healthier for them than the foods they enjoy eating. Meanwhile schools are having to purchase more garbage cans to contain the Michelle mandated foods that kids are dumping, some preferring to go hungry rather than eat "required" foods. Students just throw away the food being forced on them by the US Government.

“I tThe government will have to force students to eat. Get ready for the jackbooted food troopers.”
I think that this is a wonderful idea. Teach them early the meaning of “I’m from the government and I’m here to help”.
My son was making a killing selling candy and chips. He would go to Sam’s club and buy the chips and candy and turn around and sell them for a buck a piece.
at the end of the food line the food forced on the kids is simply tossed
My dd worked at day camp this summer that had federal food and the counselors had to make sure every kid took EVERY item
No, by LAW the food the kids don't want could NOT be donated to the local homeless shelter
the waste was terrible
My dd talked the kids into giving her the fresh fruit they were tossing away and came home with armloads of fresh pears and apples
boy my chickens could use that throw away food!
That is a permanent feeding tube. For instance, the prisoners in Gitmo have nasal tubes put in to be force fed. The tube goes in through the nose into the stomach and food goes in. Just read an interesting article on it.
Now...if only Trayvon could have purchased his Skittles and Iced Tea in the vending machines in the school cafeteria....hmmm, maybe he wouldn’t have been walking in the rain that night. Can we all say...”Michelle’s fault.”
“Good point, my two Chocs will beg like I am cutting beef or chicken,...”
I had a Choc once who would carefully eat the cherry tomatoes growing through the welded wire fence around my garden. She was quite the gourmet! :) I still miss her.
For needles, we have Rick Perry vaccinations for STDs. No Michelle needed.
Which disgusts me to no end.
I agree.
And yet he has a highly vocal contingent of ‘conservatives’ screaming “Perry 2016” who seem to intentionally ignore that.
We don’t need Republican libs/policies replacing Dem Libs/policies. We need conservatives replacing liberals
I am sure there isn’t any arugula on the menu. My Mom worked full time as a teacher way back when. We only had one car, so she had to drive my Dad to work, and then she came home and made lunches for my two brothers and me. My fav lunch was a cheese sandwich on white bread with mayo, a bag of chips, a piece of fruit (usually an apple), and a twinkie. I bought the school-supplied milk. I wasn’t fat. How did my Mom do all that, but now no one has time - It ain’t the school’s responsibility to feed your precious children - WAKE UP & SMELL THE STARBUCKS!
sounds like the typical make-work program you’d find in socialist / commie countries. it’s all being paid for by the tax payers (ie: the rich)... and tossing it ‘employs’ people to farm more
why are we participating in this ??
Just don't try and do that during Ramadan.

Years ago, I’d heard of talk of trying year round school but never heard of one actually doing it.
I distinctly recall when in grade school that all the students, when returning their trays would dump uneaten food into a 5 gallon pail. The janitor/maintenence engineer was a local farmer that lived a stone’s throw from the school... and every day the waste would feed his hogs.
French Bread pizza day, the hogs got nothing.
Wow, I am now remembering Monday mornings going to the cafeteria to prebuy lunch tickets... what a deal. I remember milk money... I think the half pints of whole milk were 7 cents.
Oh, I am sure that teacher's pay was significantly increased to reflect that they were only really working 9 months out of the year.
