"You can't say gay couples shouldn't be married, after all, they are born that way." is one of the most common arguments for gay "marriage." The idea is if the public is convinced that homosexuality is innate and not a choice, then the public as a whole will become more accepting of homosexuality and gay marriage. However, this argument has no scientific support and indeed, neurology may provide an explanation of how homosexuality is indeed a choice.

Recall that the basketball player who recently announced himself to be homosexual has an identical-twin brother who’s heterosexual.
Yep, the same folks that claim homosexuality is “natural,” also want me to believe in evolution. So we must conclude that a trait can survive hundreds of thousands of years without being capable of reproduction. OK, got it...

If that is true, then you think that it is in their nature to live a lifestyle that prevents procreation. If their nature does not allow for pro-creation, then it is natural that they would not desire to be familial. If that is the case, then why are they pushing to be able to adopt, become pregnant with fertility treatments or to have surrogates to bear children for them?
If they still have a desire to bear children, then their sexual preference, that does not allow them to bear children, is not natural. Instead, by fighting to become family units, they are admitting that their sexual behaviour is chosen and not natural.
Nope.
It is a mental illness. You don’t “choose” to get sick. But environmental, and possibly genetic factors may allow it to develop.
