Vanity, sorry. My youngest, a FEMALE, whom has always been a FEMALE, with a Birth Certificate, valid SS number, and has been declared on taxes for 18 years as a FEMALE, recieved a threatening letter from Selective Service ordering her under threat of Prosecution, to make a copy of her BIRTH CERTIFICATE and send it in within 10 Days.
My other daughter, did NOT receive this kind of harassment which does NOT happen to Illegal Immigrants even though they are required to register.
IMO, Ronald Reagan was right. That agency is a complete waste of tax dollars.

I would take a birth certificate to the nearest office, in person. I would not mail it and would not email it.

I got a similar letter in the Army.
The first time we got mail, it was an exciting event for everyone. Me...my parents had forwarded a letter from Uncle Sam, since it looked important.
It was a bad boy letter, telling me I hadn’t registered, etc, etc.
I had other stuff to do (Army training), so I ignored it, and have to this day. I figure that one day I’m going to be denied social security, or something like that.
BTW, I did register. I have a very clear memory of it. My mother took me and my twin brother to the post office, and we filled out some cards. I always figured that having a unique sounding last name, coupled with my card being right next to my brother’s, got mine tossed out, or something like that.
exactly! either now if between 18-26 or if you were hear between then and are freaking 50, you may NOT become a citizen or get any other darn Federal Benefits/Jobs/Financial Aid and you have to pay a fine up to 250,000 bucks.
how is McCain, Flake, Ryan, the rest of the gang of eight, Rubio, reconciling THIS Violation of Law for the “hardworking” lawbreakers?

Ok, here's what you do: Get a copy of (a) the law requiring men to register and (b) the driver's license [or other official ID], and (c) a statement to the effect of "I, the undersigned, am female and therefore by [LAW CITE] not required to register for selective service" -- get this copy notarized and send it off.
If/when the bureaucrats rankle at having their authority challenged, grab a lawyer and prosecute them [the agency] corporately under Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law & Conspiracy Against Rights — and individually under 42 USC § 1983 - Civil action for deprivation of rights.
The 18 USC series sections are applicable because they have clauses like exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same
and the very law that they would prosecute her under in inapplicable to her and to enforce it would then deny all jurisprudence and legislation.
I have been through FAFSA a few times, I am wondering if she answered no to that question, it caught her. Review it?
It appears to be either completely STUPID or a scam. Thank goodness I have the Birth Cert.

What gets me is why did people even ask for his birth certificate when he admitted in the past he was born in Kenya? He even had it written on his own book! “Born in Kenya”...So rather than ask him for a US birth certificate, why didn’t they ask him instead why he is lying? If he was born in the US, then why did he lie about being born in Kenya while at College? Why did he promote himself as being born in Kenya when he was running for Senator? And if he WAS born in Kenya (which I believe) then why did he lie about being born in the US? The only answer for each is fraud fraud but he gets away with it because we have a communist propaganda machine posing as our media and a RINO party instead of a Republican party.
Right On! I also have thought about letting them know I will post a heavily redacted photoshop version on my own secure site and they can go log in and look at it. Good enough for the POTUS, good enough for Selective Service.
