The GOP-e are idiots than can't tell the difference. If we can keep them from giving Texas back to Mexico then it is just a matter of time until the federal government starts to look a lot like Detroit anyway. At that point there won't be anything left to secede from.
Who knows about the transients, but Texans are Texans like Marines are Marines.
Texas has its own electricity grid, its own oil and natural gas, ports, etc. If any states could make a go of it, Texas and Alaska are the ones to make it work. I wish they’d try it.

12 gun rights bills are making their way through the Texas senate and all but one was just a voice vote for passage in the Texas house. A regular vote was taken for the other one and it passed, too.

Because Republicans are in the majority, our elections are better run than Democrat majority states.
I was on the state party election day committee to handle complaints from counties across the state and we did that and were able to stop anything that was fouled up at polling places. Except for brief trips to my kitchen and bathroom, I didn't leave my chair on election day. We had a computer set up that worked very well as each on the committee could see what another suggested to fix problems and each could add anything they thought was necessary. I had worked so many elections and taught election law across the state, that I was sure the problems were getting solved correctly.
Even in Austin, when the election judge would be a Democrat, the alternate judge was a Republican and that Republican could contact us if anything went wrong.
On election night, at central counting in every county, the state law my husband wrote had to be followed. I knew central counting in every county was to be done right following the law my husband wrote.
I must have taught several thousand Republican election judges and they keep that instruction going to the next judge and the next.
Come on to Texas and vote.

South Carolina House passes bill making ‘Obamacare’ implementation a crime

The South Carolina state House passed a bill Wednesday that declares President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be “null and void,” and criminalizes its implementation.
The state’s Freedom of Health Care Protection Act intends to “prohibit certain individuals from enforcing or attempting to enforce such unconstitutional laws; and to establish criminal penalties and civil liability for violating this article.”
The measure permits the state Attorney General, with reasonable cause, “to restrain by temporary restraining order, temporary injunction, or permanent injunction” any person who is believed to be causing harm to any person or business with the implementation of Obamacare.
Earlier this year in her state of the state address, Gov. Nikki Haley said that South Carolina does not want and cannot afford the president’s plan, “not now, not ever.”
If I wasn’t born a Texan, my first choice would be South Carolina. I just love that place. True sister states.
