Why?
Just because someone watches a move and subscribes a sci-fi as political, instead of just entertainment....doesn’t mean you shouldn’t see it.
Remember, its fiction -sometimes a movie is just a movie.
Movies are NEVER just “movies.” You’re kidding yourself if you think that. I have no idea if the critic of this movie is correct in this case, but every film has a message, sorry.
And sometimes they're not....Goebbels and Eisenstein certainly didn't think that a "movie is just a movie."
One of the actors (Benedict Cumberbatch) in it said it was a Bush/Cheney metaphor.
I’m just sick and tired of hollywood indoctrinating my kids through tv shows, movies and stars. Taking 4 teens to a 3D movie is expensive and I don’t intend to have my political beliefs jabbed at by a bunch of liberals hiding behind an iconic sci-fi movie.
We’re skipping “The Great Gatsby” too. I don’t intend to give one penny to Leonardo DiCaprio. Flaunting your politics has consequences. My two cents may not amount to much but I’m sure other parents feel the same way. If my teens want to go see those movies they’ll have to pay for it out of their own pockets.
