MoveOn.org has started a petition to get ESPN reporter Chris Broussard immediately suspended from the network for comments he made regarding Jason Collins's homosexuality, which Broussard said was a sin according to his personal Christian beliefs. The group said Broussard was engaging in "gay bashing."
The petition reads:
Chris Broussard's hateful attack on Jason Collins for being gay was an unacceptable misrepresentation of the Christian faith. ESPN must immediately suspend Chris Broussard and guarantee that their network will never again be used for gay bashing.
In its "petition background" statement, the left-wing organization says that after Jason Collins "emphasized the importance of his Christian faith in accepting himself and deciding to come out," ESPN's Broussard "attacked" Collins.
"Shockingly, so far ESPN is standing by Broussard, describing his tirade as 'a respectful discussion of personal viewpoints,'" they write....

Good luck on that. I despise liberals with every iota of my being. Besides, not only is Broussard a good guy but Stephen A Smith..actually goes on the Mark Levin show and I’ve heard him say he’s not a liberal.
Can some conservative group please start a petition that ESPN must immediately support Broussard! We need to start fighting like ‘em!

While our country was founded based in part (a small part) on Christianity, It was also founded based on the individual and the choices each individual makes without government interference. It seems more and more these days I can't tell a separation of church and state (Christians wanting "their" way, atheists and commie/leftists wanting theirs); ya'll remember that part?
I don't care who is homosexual or not, I really don't. That is their decision. What you need to fight against WITHOUT a book of YOUR faith is how an inequality exists based on orientation. It is called reverse discrimination; but you are too jaded by writings of humans gathered in a boo to see you are being beaten down handily today and losing your rights against what should be common sense.
Homosexuals have more rights than you now because you have not fought the issue of equality, you succumbed to your writing and say "..so there!". Get used to it; the left figured it out a long time ago and are exerting control over the individual which ultimately means you because you are the "nanny state" by religious proxy you say you hate so much and they are making you look stupid.
Sorry to say, I don't care about rescuing souls. I care about living free and the quicker you realize the good book is not the law of the land but the law of your INDIVIDUAL life, the quicker you can mobilize to getting down and fighting getting your asses getting kicked in the court of public opinion because not everyone in this country likes church or religion; get over it, not all of us "like" your God.

You mean we (religious folks ie bitter clingers) make conservatives look back when we stand on our principles and you "true" secular conservatives don't? Here is principle number one: Christ is on the throne and is making all his enemies his footstool. Principle two: all men will be judged according to the law of God and their eternal damnation justified unless they are in Christ and thereby justified. Principle three: We bitter clinging religious right types have been commissioned by this same throne sitting, eternal judging, elect justifying Christ to go into all the world and make disciples by teaching what so ever things Christ has commanded - things like the having no other God, not committing adultery, incest, homosexuality, bestiality or fornication.
So you godless conservatives must not be heeded by true followers of Christ. We cannot be silent and will not stop embarrassing you, because it is not us who make you look bad, it is the one on the throne who you do not wish to associate with. But the good news is this, you can be united to Christ also and join us other embarrassments, if you can only humble yourself enough and fear the Lord enough to admit that you are helpless and in need of His mercy.
