Business Watch the Stunning Hyundai Suicide Ad That Has Resulted in Tears and a Big Apology Apr. 25, 2013 8:30pm Jason Howerton
Though it is unclear how anyone at the company could have possibly though it was a good idea, Hyundai Europe recently released an advertisement depicting a man attempting to commit suicide via carbon monoxide poisoning by leaving his car running in the garage. The man in the ad fails to kill himself because the vehicles emissions are 100 percent water emissions.

Holy crap how could a group of people come to the conclusion that that was a good ad? Good grief how stupid...
Wow....Some dimwitted 20 something thought this was cute at the ad agency.....
Amazing it made it to GA
I can appreciate some dark humor but that’s thoughtless. It does trouble me what the younger (man, I sound like my dad!) generation think is funny nowadays.
Probably a better way to get the zero emissions idea across. The other way to look at it is: If the guy was stupid enough to not know about his car’s emissions, perhaps the gene pool is better off without him. (Don’t flame me...I didn’t write the ad.)
I was hoping it would be funny.
It is just stupid.
But I agree with the comment that some wussies wake up and look for something to kvetch about.
I like the one where a muslim guy in a volkswagen golf drives up to the front of a crowded coffee shop and presses a detonator, and the only thing that blows up is everything INSIDE the car. It’s an ad about how tough the new Golf is.
Hilarious.
Youtube it.
I haven’t seen the ad, but the concept is hilarious.
This is turning into a cliche - horrible ad get made, “SOMEHOW” get’s released without company’s authorization, EVERYONE watches it, company apologizes.
The name Hyundai gets repeated 10s of millions of times in millions of lips.
How many times has this happened in the last year? 3/4? Cynical bastards.
Suicide is a national epidemic. We need to talk about it, and the secularism which is fueling it.
So the car ad was a bit curious, but let’s all grow a pair and have the conversation rather than act like fainting Nellies at the very thought.
“Wow....Some dimwitted 20 something thought this was cute at the ad agency”
Apparently someone higher up did too. It’s not about selling it’s about being “creative”.
Considering the state of society in Europe, this may very well have been a PSA informing folks to be sure to use and appropriate exhaust emitting vehicle when doing your civic duty.
If I bought that car, I would have tried to kill myself, too.
Fake outrage to generate more hits for viral ad. Just like September Morn. (The painting).
This was an ad created by progressives for progressives. A spiral eyed, X-box playing, 20 something slacker would find it amusing. They have no regard for life. Suicide and abortion are their way of reducing the planet of unwanteds.
Should have calculated the time it would take to fill the car with condensed water vapor. Then started with a really fat guy.
Do a time lapse as he gets skinnier as the car fills with water.
Final scene is the guy playing with RC boats and hit chicks in bikinis ala hot tub.
Fade to black
