While couponing yesterday, I received a 1964 SILVER quarter in change. It was noticeable because it shined REALLY bright. Looks to be in mint MINT condition. How did that happen? It might be worth as much as fifty bucks. A friend of mine who is into coins will be looking at it.

Since DU dummies, hollywood liberals, the news media, and all democrats love socialism and Chavez so much then why don’t they move to their socialist utopia in Cuba , Venezuela or N. Korea

Nothing new here, it’s standard leftist practice: “recount” until you’re ahead, and then call the results “the will of the people”.

Lots of low-information fools who come into a coin collection simply spend it as spare change.

Those are widely thought to be extinct in the wild but a few scattered specimens still turn up, especially in backward areas. I last came across real silver coinage in circulation about six or seven years ago, in a vending machine in a federal office building I was visiting for meetings.

I still get them, though rarely. The last one was a Mercury dime a couple years ago. My theory is the grandkids found one of grandpa’s old jars of pocket change (1963-67) in the basement and noticed the contents looked a lot like money, and spent some of it in the 7-11 half an hour before I went in, and their payment became my change.

(My great-grandfather, 1886-1977, dropped any change he found in his pocket into a jam jar at the end of each day. When he died, the granddaughter who lived with him— my mom’s cousin— found ten or a dozen jars in the basement dating back to the early 1920s. Most of the coins— the oldest from the 19-teens— were in excellent or very good condition, having circulated for just a couple of years before “retiring”. She made out quite well.)

What an embarrassment that it was so close. Maduro should have gotten 105% of the vote.

[And you still would have OPPOSED a recount.]

LOL! There were some precincts this past election where Obama got like 107% of the vote. Imagine if it was a Republican that got 107% of the vote. Outrage. A Democrat? Not a peep.
