What Do You Think? Do you support providing a possible path to legal residency or citizenship for those brought to this country illegally as minors?

Done
61% NO now.
Voted NO. Thank you!
I’m a member of our county Federated Republican Women and several of our group are state and national members. NONE of us are for amnesty. I’m surprised this attitude towards amnesty on the national level hasn’t come up at our meetings.
Guess it’s time for me to ask!
This country is way beyond that. The GOP is lining up to give them the vote.
But I always wondered:
1) Why isn't it a felony for adults to bring or leave a child in here illegally?
2) Why doesn't the federal government cut off funding for schools who don't report kids who are illegal
My point is that once you let the kids grow up here and to go to school here then you have created a human sympathy drama that you cant win against. That is the reality. You see it now playing out tragically.
So as late as it is add these to the bi-partision amnesty bills as amendments.
Chris Hayes on MSNBC today said :"Republicans are deluding themselves if they think that Hispanics will vote for them just because they sign onto an immigration reform bill"
But this is exactly what McCain, Rub, Paul and the others are trying to convince us.
The RWF has always been liberal, even when and if conservatives took over individual clubs, the most liberal from each club/groups of clubs was picked for leadership.
The higher up the ranks the more liberal the women became.
C'mon, freepers, vote! This is a mini-freep. This is what we're here for, not to just sit by staring at one's screen like a lump all the time. Even if you don't like polls, vote anyhow. The results will be used in some way or other, you can count on it.
Let's pull together when we get the opportunity!

Thanks Guys...spreading it to some Euro Immi-fighters too....
Magna Carta, I went to the site looking to read about the National Federation of Republican Women officially making the push for amnesty for illegal aliens but couldn't find anything about them supporting or pushing for amnesty. All I found was the poll you listed.
Could you please point me in the direction of where you read about them promoting amnesty. Thanks!
The National Federation of Republican Women, which I am a member of through my State Federation, is a wonderful organization that does more to elect Republicans in a day this whole forum has done since it started. They asked a damn question. So what.
Magna Carta, on the National Federation of Republican Women site which you have also linked above, under their link "Current Issues" I found the page below which not only has nothing supporting your claim that the National Federation of Republican Women are promoters of amnesty for illegal aliens, or as you have labeled the group "amnesty pushers," in fact, the National Federation of Republican Women appear to be anything but "amnesty pushers."
Magna Carta, I realize that this is my second request where I am asking again, that if you do have information which supports your claim that the National Federation of Republican Women are "amnesty pushers," please post a link to an article which you feel proves your point.
If your allegations are true, it would be something I think that many would be interested in reading. Thanks!
I was president of the San Jose RWF for three years, I had to resign when I ran for office, I stand by my statement.
The farther up the chain, the more liberal they become, I do NOT care what they say their mission is.
No, it is the conservatives who do the work, and it conservatism that is rejected.
I know from experience.
Thanks for your reply, but I think you are wrong. I have heard it called “chain immigration”, in which, once legal, a person may bring in relatives ahead of the line. No politician is going to deport parents of these kids who were brought here illegally.
How about simply reading the page linked to?
NEWS RELEASE: NFRW Urges Federal Government to Tackle Immigration Reform; Calls for Guest Worker Program, Legal Status for Minors
Thanks for the ping!
I was president of the San Jose RWF for three years
Should have been RFW.
I had to resign when I ran for office
I never said forced, it was the policy then that when you ran for and elected office you could not serve as an officer of a club.
I stand by my statement
Previous post.
The farther up the chain, the more liberal they become
Officers (country, region, state, national are chosen from presidents of local clubs, the most liberal are chosen, each move up the chain the most liberal are chosen, so the farther up the chain they you go the more liberal they are.
I do NOT care what they say their mission is.
I do not care what they say their mission is, they are liberal.
FReeped! Please add me to your FPFF ping list. Thx :)
