Anti-Gun Senator Shoots Intruder
State Senator R.C. Soles (D - NC) Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City, N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician's home county said.
The intruder, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen andBrunswick counties.
The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff's Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening. "I am not in a position to talk to you," Soles said by telephone. "I'm right in the middle of an investigation." The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim. In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the "Do as I say and not as I do" Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting. Why hypocritical you may ask? It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation.
It has prompted some to ask if the Senator believes his life and personal safety is more valuable than yours or mine. But, this is to be expected from those who believe they can run our lives, raise our kids, and protect our families better than we can.
Okay. Now I'm confused. This didn't happen in England, did it?
Snopes is nothing but personal opinion of 2 left wingers.
This guy was into lots of questionable stuff. And he even looks like Sandusky, if you catch the parallel.
Do a search on him and look at the many stories put out by the local media in NC.
A short time before the shooting.........

Why didnt he just try to reason with the intruder, try to get his point of view and find out how the system screwed him over..after all that is the liberal philosophy, everyone has been screwed by the man
Self defense for MEEEEEE but not for theeeee, peon!!!!
That’s the unkindest cut of all. We deserve what we elect.
I do, however, believe that the election was stolen by election fraud - not only by DNC Counsel Bob Bauer submitting what he knew to be fraudulent Certifications of Nomination to get Obama on the state ballots, but also by falsely-cast (or falsely-counted) votes in critical places.
I think there are a lot of people who would like to fix the vulnerabilities in our system, but I think what is clogging things up is Congress, the media which owns them, and the Soros who owns the media (including so-called “conservative” media).
When push comes to shove, if we allow a criminal like Soros to own our whole system, then we all probably deserve the crap we get. I’m just sick of living in this cowpie. Something’s gotta give.
Some are more equal than others.
Perp v Anti gun senator. I root for the perp.
Same hypocrites that hire armed security, send their children to schools that have armed security...they do think they are more important, it’s the “little people” that should not have firearms.
When they poutlaw guns the Senators and the House will be exempt, Just like they are exempt from Obamacare.
Why ask? Of COURSE his life is more important and valuable than yours and mine. In his mind.
Yeah I was wondering why this two year old story is being put here under the guise of just being reported on.
