How many were killed by DUI’s, drug overdoses, etc. in Kaliforniastan last year? Probably many more than gun crimes. How many killed in just regular car crashes not involving DUI, and teen drivers? How many did they kill?

Gun violence will continue unless we control the sale of bullets Drunk driving will continue unless we control the sale of cars.

Great, just what I need, more Californians in front of me in the ammo line at the next gun show! In Tucson last weekend of 42 cars I walked past and noticed the license plates on, 30 were from AZ, 8 were from CA and 4 were snow birds - 2 x SD, 1 x MN and 1 x IL - and they weren’t in the exhibitor’s lot. Something tells me a lot of ammo and 30 round mags made their way up I10 and I8 that night.

Im beyond giving a damn about all the ways that California screws itself. Except when Kalifornia screws itself, the Kalifornicators want to move to your state and have you recognize it as marriage.
Or force ammunition makers to run production lines that have microstamping etc in order to sell it within the state.....to the little people of course.
It seems like whatever Kalifornia does, the rest of the libs try to spread it like small pox through an Indian.

"'2,800 people in California were killed last year by gunfire,' Skinner said."
Wow. The problem is obviously the State and its ideology from New York, and shortly before that, from overseas--not firearms. Try a war on drugs to solve the problem--a real war, not a metaphorical one. As for a new law, consider it to be a war for our country's defense against a foreign enemy attack. Open recruiting offices. Build up our military forces.

With a team of writers at Earthworks Press, she also wrote and published the best selling book series 50 Simple Things You Can Do To Save the Earth. In your case, Nancy, #1 would be Stop Exhaling.

Don’t swallow this one, Americans!
“Gee, how MUCH ammo is enough?”
“Gee, which KIND of ammo is ‘just right’?”
“Gee, which CALIBER of ammo is ‘just right’?”
When you have cluster(b)uck politicians and bean counter bureaucrats decide what is ‘right for you’, do the opposite!

My wife and I really would like to move to California next year after I retire. Her sister lives near Sacramento and we found a small community up in the foothills that we really like. I am quite concerned about all the crazy leftist politics and the state’s financial future. Also we would have to get rid of most of our guns, magazines, ammo, reloading equipment and supplies before moving.

There are still some pockets of resistance in the Golden State. The foothills out of Sack-of-Tomatoes are one good example. The political reality is quite overwhelming for conservatives; we bend but do not break.
There is a process to bring in guns and stuff. That information would be on the California Attorney Generals website. I think it's $19 per handgun, nothing over 10 rounds. Long guns are okay, no fees. You couldn't bring your machine guns into the state.

The rural hills of Northern California actually have a higher proportion of conservatives than Western Washington where we both have always lived. We are already used to being surrounded by liberals; so it would not be a huge shock to us. Almost none of our firearms are legal down there however.
