In the wake of the ludicrous 'fiscal cliff' deal made by Boehner and McConnell -packed with pork, increasing the deficit by $4 TRILLION, and raising taxes on most every American while extracting diddly-squat in spending cuts- the Republican Party doesn't represent my interests anymore, yet no GOPer has the huevos to mount a viable challenge to Boehner's feckless 'leadership'-
Ron Meyer, a spokesman for the conservative group American Majority Action, which was among several calling for Boehners ouster, acknowledged that House Republicans simply do not have a viable alternative to Boehner.
It turns out no one else seems willing to pick up the mantle, he said on Wednesday. 'I hesitate to say it, but this goes to some degree to cowardice.'
Yet yesterday's so-called 'fiscal cliff' deal included all this
pork for Obama supporters-
- $430 million for Hollywood through special expensing rules to encourage TV and film production in the United States. Producers can expense up to $15 million of costs for their projects.
- $331 million for railroads by allowing short-line and regional operators to claim a tax credit up to 50 percent of the cost to maintain tracks that they own or lease.
- $222 million for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands through returned excise taxes collected by the federal government on rum produced in the islands and imported to the mainland.
- $70 million for NASCAR by extending a 7-year cost recovery period for certain motorsports racing track facilities.
- $59 million for algae growers through tax credits to encourage production of cellulosic biofuel at up to $1.01 per gallon.
- $4 million for electric motorcycle makers by expanding an existing green-energy tax credit for buyers of plug-in vehicles to include electric motorbikes.
How much worse could the American right do in upcoming battles on debt, immigration, and Obammunist gun grabs?
PLENTY worse... but there's no need to take it on faith,
now you'll get to see for yourself.

Boner should have started negotiations with an offer to cut spending by $2 Trillion next year and making the Bush tax cuts permanent and cutting White House funding by 70%. That would accomplished nothing. Obama would have been happy with no deal at all, higher taxes for everybody, and the Pubs would get the blame. Obama was holding all the cards, the pubs were negotiating from a position of weakness, and everyone knew it. I'm actually surprised they got as good a deal as they did.

If I accept your proposition(It’s probable) then it might make sense, maybe.
Still, Mutt was a millstone down ticket and that cost us.

Ha, post history deleted already, how bout that
To: Hugin
I disagree, and would have preferred the cliff
That’s the only way now we’ll ever get any budget cuts of the sort that may save us, consider that
To: what's up
“LOL I strongly suspect that people could not be bothered examining my posting history like you seem obsessed with doing.”

Then why did you DELETE IT already, you lying POS?
To: Norm Lenhart
He already deleted his history, Norm
To: Hugin
Your right Obama was holding all the cards. The GOP gave them to him when they passed the bill that created the cliff in the first place.

Low expectations are what have gotten us into a hole so unfathomably deep.
We have low expectations from our representatives and they do even less, then we re-elect them.
At some point in time after careful observation, you might begin to detect a pattern.

It’s there, I just checked.
Click his name in a post, then click on ‘in forum’.
And again, I encourage EVERYONE to sdo so before they take anything he comes up with at face value.
He is certainly entitled to his opinion, but it’s hard to call that opinion anything but the GOP party line IMO.
Post after post assuring us that the GOP won’t cave, post after post discouraging the idea of an exodus to a third ot new party, and post after post explaining away/excusing the reason the GOP didn’t cave after they most certainly did.
He’s been at it for some time now and like many others who get held to their words, he equivicates, dodges and gets mightily offended when people are directed to see his actual positions for themselves.
Next, like clockwork, I’ll be accuses of ‘stalking’ as so many have done before when caught in w web ob pure BS.
Just make a mental note for the future. You WILL see him on upcoming threads dealing with GOP issues doing everything he can to poo poo anything that is not ‘helpful’ to the GOP.

Can NASCAR funding really be pork for Obama supporters?
To: 9YearLurker
NASCAR ain’t what you may remember from the good ol’ days with good ol’ boys. They are now a fully PC group. Read up on their Confederate Flag controversy.
To: Norm Lenhart
If you expect Barry’s crew to start backing NASCAR, I believe you will be disappointed.
To: 9YearLurker
I don’t expect it, We have already seen it. The pork is just one example. The Confederate flag bit is another.
A key part of communist strategy is infiltrate and destroy American institutions. And if you think NASCAR is somehow immune, I think it’s you that will be disappointed.
The economy has taken a hell of a toll on it already and the teams are / have been scrambling for any money they can. So has corporate. And the ad dollars demand ‘PC’.
Now think about that seriously and in the context of today’s political/economic climate and tell me again with Libs in power that NASCAR won’t ‘comply’. I’m not trying to start a fight with you, just trying to put it into perspective.
To: Reaganite Republican
What in the world are you talking about?
You are foul.
