I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.
Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.
He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.
OH boy! I missed this until just now. What an absolutely sweet picture of our guy. Just want to hug him close.
Thanks for the ping El Gato. 8D
Just HAD to comment on this very handsome lad Oscar. Love his Longhorns spirit. Hookem Horns!
Figured I should update this thing since we haven't said much recently. Had his 4 month doc appointment Tuesday and he is up to 9lbs 3oz 20.75 inches long and in the 50-75% range for both. And as an extra surprise, his head is actually in the 50% range too. Pretty much he is just growing and being a not-so-typical newborn.
That Tuesday would have been March 26th.
I saw Oscar J. on the 29th, he was up to 10 lbs 2 oz as of about that same Tuesday, that week at least. This week Oscar's mom posted several pictures of him smiling, and a video of him aping his mother's expression. Smart little dude has figured out that there is some relationship or similarity between his mouth and those of others. Here's Oscar:
The boys are growing and developing at warp speed, and all is right with the world, or their tiny parts of it anyway. Oscar has been threatened by a mad dictator. He lives in Austin, which that North Korean nut-job has threatened to nuke. His 3 cousins do too, a bit farther out, but still in Austin.

How adorable... looks as bald as a cue ball. I have and will always LOVE those toothless little baby grins. I really do.. in fact, I would cry when mine got their first nub. Such wonderful news, El Gato... about Keegan and Oscar... both doing well and just thriving. Makes me so happy!!!
His hair isn't very long, nor very thick, be it's there.
Glad to see two of God’s little wonders are growing so beautifully
Ain’t nothin like those grandkids eh? Our two just left. We had to have their easter egg hunt and baskets today because our easter was so busy from early morning til night. Love those munchkins, but what a sigh of relief when they go home. I’m just so old and cranky, the noise makes me jitterie. Happy to see both boys growing and glowing.
Love baby smiles ,they are the best:)
Yeah for Keegan! Very glad to hear he’s doing so well.
And as for Oscar...well what’s to say? That smile says it all. Such a cutie! Just makes ya want to pick him up and hug.
Daughter sent me another in the same sequence, with not such a broad smile of his mouth, but more in the eyes.
She said it reminded her of me. Really? I asked how so, she said eyes and expression.
Poor kid. :)
Correction, there are already 6 sets: Wife, two daughters, 3 granddaughters. Oscar will make 7 sets if he has "The Eyes".
Me too, M23, me too.
I'm starting to suffer from Oscar, and granddaughter, withdrawal. Haven't seen them in over a week, seems longer. Will be longer too. I think have my next two long weekends, which are every other week, already committed. Might have to slip down on a short weekend. It's 3+ hours. Two places to visit when I/we get there, although last time Oscar's Mom brought him over to his cousin's house.
That was nice 'cause their Dad got to hold him too. He was quite glad to get the female dominance of the Texas resident family corrected a bit. Although his sister has 3 boys, and he has no nieces, so actually from his point of view, there are already more boys... but they live in New Jersey, and he rarely gets to see them. When he does, he usually takes at least one of his daughters with him. Surprisingly, the twins travel well, one at a time at least. Last time E kept nagging the gate agent, and when the plane was finally ready for boarding, she announced on the PA, "E, your plane is ready". :)
It is amazing what gets passed along. My eldest son has an expression that is identical to my dad's. Now that he is grown it sometimes stops me in my tracks...
You could do so much worse. ; D
So we had the first of many follow-ups today. Spent an hour driving to Omaha, a half-hour in the waiting room checking in, and found out he ways 10lbs 4oz with clothes on and is 21 inches long. Then the doc came in for 5 secs said his g-button looks good and we go back in a month to learn how to change it. Kinda seemed like a waste of time...
I said that was a "Good Thing", . If the doc had taken longer, it would be because of problems or issues, and they'd have to go back sooner. ;) Keegan and Oscar continue to be about the same size. Oscar was 10.86 lbs, in his birthday suit, two days after Keegan's checkup.
Thanks, El Gato, for the update on Keegan, and Oscar.
Good response on your end...a good indicator that things are going well.
Prayers continue.

Thanks for the update. Wonderful to have two big, bouncing baby boys.
And there was also a less bouncing, more mad as hell, picture :
He was HUNGRY!
Forgot the list again, see post above for pictures of “Our” boy Keegan.
