I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.
Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.
He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.
How sweet is that?! Home....what a beautiful word that is. Go sweet baby James, rock this world.
He did, he also made his first visit of many with his Dad to the comic store. But that was later. He's been out 3 times now.
Went to see him last weekend when we picked up our oldest granddaughter, his 7 y/o cousin. She is now at Grandma Camp for spring break. She got to see and touch him too. But her twin sisters got to see him first, through the glass door, they are too germy for a personal visit for a few more weeks yet.
Daughter took several pictures of me holding him. He's not as big as my head. He's a little longer, but not near so big around. :) He gave me a real good looking over, and screwed up his face as if thinking. What the heck is that? But then he decided I was OK, and laid his head back down on my shoulder, while continuing to check me out.
I give you Oscar James
You can see he's already a thinker. Tires him out though, this the second "thinker" picture.
Now why is that not surprising, considering all the Good Words, you've put in for him? Consider it a little reward. :)
Oh my gosh he is the sweetest thinker! Three outings already. Going to be a good traveler I’d imagine. Such a handsome lad too! 8D
A late-night thank you for the picture and update info. May Our LORD Continue to bless this family.
Lucky for him he looks nothing like me. He looks like his dad and other grandpa, except blond where they have black hair.
Well, if that isn’t just the most precious thing ever!! Thanks for sharing a smile, El Gato! :)
Hook 'em Horns!
His mom has her PhD from U. Texas, but still feels like a traitor putting him in anything but the colors of her undergrad/Master's college.
He would make a good looking Kangaroo, but the Horns' outfit was a gift from Mom's boss, they work at U Texas.)
My daughter amplifies” She’s been a Roo since she was 9, since her Mom has been on the faculty there since then. :)
Awwww.... what a sweet angel!!
Congrats!
I knew he’d pull through!
O M G !!! Is he adorable or what ???? Brought an audible gasp as the pic opened then some happy glistening of the eyes. Thanks, El Gato and Bless you and Keegan, Iris, the whole family.
BTTT
Thank you so much for that beautiful picture.((((Hugs))))
Yes, and one of God's miracles.
Not that Osar isn't miraculous too, but in the normal way of new babies. Keegan had long odds against him.
I don't know, he comes from pretty "long "people, with long arms for their height. Both his maternal grandpa, and his paternal grandma. Both his parents got that characteristic. (and both his paternal uncles too).
So maybe an offensive end or a basketball forward.
Thanks.
Hugs are always welcome.
Last time I was visiting Oscar, as I will do tomorrow, or rather later today, the daughters of my daughter's high school friend were visiting him to. I barely know them, but aparently they remembered me. The older one, about 14, gave me a hug as soon as i walked in the door, and another as I walked out. Surprised me it did. But as I said, hugs are (almost) always welcome. Had to learn to like them though. My family was not big on hugging.. but my wife's was/is, and so is/was my brother's wife's family.
Could be 'The Long Arm of the Law".
Or maybe a politician. They always seem to get their hands into things they have no place being. ;~))
