I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.
Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.
He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.
Oh my goodness, Keegan....you are quite a cutie pie. I bet you’ve got all the nurses charmed.
Prayers continue for you and your family as you grow. ((HUGS))
Loving the good news updates. He is so adorable, what a blessing.
What a sweetie pie and being cradled in loving arms is a wonderful medicine. Prayers continue of course.

Smiles.
It’s kinda like riding a bike Keegan - once you get it figured, you have it for life ; )
Thank you Lord, for this small one.

I WANT A TURN TO HOLD HIM!! Adorable, precious, beautiful and such a blessing. Thank you for gifting us with his picture... I am betting the family can’t wait to bring Keegan James home. Hugs, Mom
I’m Keegan’s Grammie and I haven’t even gotten to hold him yet. Only Mama and Daddy have. Hopefully someday soon. <3
He had the nurses at his first hospital charmed, they are all demanding visits after he gets to go home. So I imagine you're right about that. :)
Shouldn't be long Grammie Iris. He was due in just a month now. (same as my grandson, who is still "cooking". His middle is James too. First name, they aren't telling. My wife thinks he might come a little early, and certainly not late, cause he's already pretty big and pretty low. But he's face up, and they really would like him to be face down, but it's not that big a deal either way, long as it's head down.
Wouldn't want him to be exposed to some grandma germs now would we?
I can’t wait for YOU to hold him! I understand the Mommy and Daddy can do it now but I am praying that very, very SOON.. you will get the blessing. Give him a teeny smooch from me! God Bless, Ladyiris58!
MORE Good News:
So I suppose I should update from our visit yesterday/today. Not much to say really. Tried breastfeeding yesterday and he did better than expected. He's been having more breathing alarms lately but found out that was because he was doing so good they tried taking him off his caffeine and that is out of his system now, so they turning it back on. Oh, and the nurse today mentioned that his weekly head ultrasounds are starting to show creases in his brain, which is a very good sign. Still not "normal" but definitely a lot better than they originally thought.
Both the breastfeeding progress and the creases are tremendous news!

Yes,they are! Keep up the good work, Keegan.
Yeah for this good news update. Thanks El Gato and prayers continue of course.

It’s been a few days since you’ve posted here at FR. You ok?
Keegan’s Latest Adventures
Let’s see... he’s over 6 lbs. His eye exam Monday was good. Liz talked to every specialist in the book to help with feeding, basically he has to take all his 50ml feedings by bottle or breast for 24hrs before going home, so far he’s done 15ml by bottle. Oh, and he is having “surgery” to get his tongue clipped tomorrow morning, since he is tongue-tied and they think that might help with the feeding. And before we left, we talked to the case manager and started the long process of pamphlet reading and learning how to take care of him at home.
Thanks for the update. Great to see all y’all are progressing so well. Lots of learning for everyone I know. Prayers continue here.
Woo Hoo!
Considering he's only been at the eating on his own thing for a few days, 15 ml, that's 30% of the way to his target of 50, sounds pretty good.
