Where are the communications that were sent from the mission in Benghazi just before and during the attack? Are we to believe that Ambassador Stevens and his highly trained men never let anyone know what was going on, or asked for help?
It is hard for me to believe that there was a live feed of the attack back to the situation room of the White House, but that there was no information sent by the people who were under attack, and that there were no requests from them.
What did they say? What did they ask? What were they denied?
Are we to believe that Ambassador Stevens and the other defenders did not even have a cell phone? Are we to believe that the defenders held out for six or seven hours, and never asked for reinforcements or assistance?
What did they ask for, and what were they told?

It is a lot easier to do when you know the media is with you. For all we know, some have already tried this and have been turned over to security by the MSM people that they contacted.

No, PANNETTA is claiming that the Pentagon didn’t want to go forward. Utter CYA bullshit. Delta was in Sicily, waiting for orders. Jets in Italy, ditto. Ships at sea with helos, ditto.
No order came. Obama went to bed to rest up for Las Vegas, while Ambassador Stevens was missing in action and was being dragged through the streets.
That’s the real scandal.

Dozens of genarals and admirals have enough info to blow Obama out of the water for dereliction of duty. It’s the WORST sin in the military NOT to mount a rescue when a “Fort Apache” attack is ongoing.
Obama sacrificed the Americans to continue the Libya charade and the arms trafficing operation to Syria.

We’ll never see/hear truthful communications. We already know the White House machine has set up personal Gmail and Yahoo email accounts so they can operate freely by circumventing official government scrutiny. It makes sense that the abuse has carried over to other communication venues.
Frankly the only one who could send in the cavalry was the president of the US.
Perhaps obama and his WH team could have cobbled together a quick reaction team when the crisis struck... and made something happen......but that would have required adult leadership at the WH to pull a team together in “the fog of war”, a willingness by the CIA to share intelligence with our agencies and our allies (NATO) and admit what was going on and why ...that they had forged a relationship with this jihadist militia and been betrayed by al Qaeda penetration of it.

They were probably told “forces are on standby, just waiting for the green light.”
I imagine that information is highly classified and they are trying to keep it under wraps as long as possible. We wouldn’t want the whole truth to come out before the election. Hopefully some more whistleblowers will come forward.
During a college reunion I sat down, at dinner, with a classmate that had gone into the diplomatic service after a tour of duty, as a line grunt, in Vietnam. Like most reunion conversations we ended up talking about what we had done over the intervening 35 – 40 years.
He had just retired from the State Department and I had retired from the military. When he found out that I had done the bulk of my twenty years in Special Operations the first words out of his mouth was “Thank You!” When I asked why the thanks he said he and his friends in the diplomatic service knew no matter how bad things got that Special Operations would come and get them out no matter what it cost us.
Well, fifteen years later, I guess that security blanket no longer exists. Another, unacknowledged, legacy from the Emperor!

which is stay out of, at arms length from, or at least maintain plausible deniability, of covert CIA operations intended to end run Congress and other parties such as Russia
Once an ambassador becomes an active part of a military or CIA operation, all bets are off. He jeopardizes his diplomatic status and immunity as a “non combatant”..as the al Qaeda combat milita demonstrated
Note that the “we disavow all knowledge” card has already been played by Biden among others, including Hillary, along with the “some adult has to step up so I take full responsibility” card
If what you are saying is correct and only the CIA people were alerted, then why were those emails sent out 2 hours after the attack began sent also to dod addresses?
How would your claims be verified? What evidence should there be, that the military contingency plans never engaged - and why they didn’t engage?
Surely an actual ambassador would not be counted as a CIA covert operative, even if they were. They are also a public official.
More importantly, WHO were the communications directed to and WHO made the final decision to do nothing? Someone in the chain of command with authority was making these final decisions and they are being protected.
Did he say whether he had ever been entangled in CIA stuff? If what both you guys are saying is correct, the only time an ambassador wouldn’t be covered by military contingency plans is if it was a covert CIA operation. Travis, do you know anything about that? Do military contingency plans go into effect for attacks on ambassadors that happen in mission outposts where covert operations were going on (as opposed to the actual embassy)? What’s the starting point for the military to be drawn in, and do we have evidence that that starting point was activated?
We need to call for impeachment for this.
