I admit it, I have mixed feelings about this. First, the news. "Roll Call" has just moved the FL-9 race into the "likely Dem" category, meaning that bloviating buffoon Alan Grayson will return to the House.
The GOP controlled state legislature, which drew the new boundaries in the latest redistricting, did strengthen several surrounding GOP districts, but could they have possibly had an ulterior motive in mind?
Grayson had announced his plans to run ( and again, to self-fund his campaign) last year, even before the redistricting effort began. So, knowing that Grayson was most likely going to be the only Dem candidate, did they possibly decide to make it a sure thing?
Consider this scenario: who will be the face of the Democrats after November, to confront a President Romney, with a GOP controlled House and Senate?
The maneuvering for the Dem WH nomination begins the day after Election Day. In the Senate, with Reid gone, Chuckie Schumer will likely be the minority leader.
In the House, Pelosi ( if she stays on,) will have no credibility, and there is a vacuum of Dem spokespersons. I mean, Steny Hoyer?..come on...Clyburn?? no way.
And have you all notoiced that the estimable Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the DNC chair, has all but disappeared from the airways. She's obviously on the way out..
And if you liked DSW, you're really gonna love Grayson. He's gonna get the press, the coverage, both on the House floor, and in the MSM. Grayson will NOT disappoint. Think that telling the world that "the GOP wants you to die" was over the top? You ain't seen nothing yet.
And that's gonna be a very, very good thing for the GOP. They can make Grayson the face, the poster boy, of the Democrats.
I do feel profoundly sorry for those unfortunate conservative Americans who will have to suffer the stigma of having Grayson as their congressman, but think of it as taking one for the nation..
So basically the “re-districting” caused the GOP to gain +2 seats and reduced the RAT seats by -1, but the result was to redraw Grayson’s district into more of a RAT district? Is that the way I’m reading it?
Why are all the Dem safe seats filled with the stupidest people??
I heard Alan Grayson interviewed on progressive radio last month. This guy is beyond nasty. He makes Harry Reid and David Axelrod look like a boy scouts.
Grayson is an active DUmmie as well. They’re probably slobbering at the thought.
With Alan Grayson, the Democrats will have someone worthy of assuming Nancy Pelosi’s leadership position should she step down due to excessive facial surgery.
I would volunteer for the job.
Grayson reminds me of John Larroquette without the sense of humor.
I suspect the Fake White Indian with the non-existent law license is gonna win a Senate seat too. So we’ll have no shortage of Comic Relief in the next session.

Not so fast. Every day there’s a new story about her phoniness. The latest is her work for a big insurance company being sued by asbestos victims. No one is sure that she even has a law license. More to come.

Brown by five. He’s a masterful campaigner with a winning personality, unlike Fauxahontas. Believe it or not, 40% of MA voters are registered Independents, and can occasionally do the right thing.
He faces Joe Kennedy III in 6 years. That will be one for the ages.
What Grayson did here in Orlando was to support Long in the primary- tons of ads for him and lots of $$$ spent to be sure THIS is the candidate Grayson would run against. He succeeded. This is a heavily hispanic district - the two other GOP candidates were hispanic too and Grayson made sure they were eliminated.
Grayson is vile.
