Truth is the new hate speech.Creeping Sharia
We [the people] own this country.Clint Eastwood
I feel like I ought to start out each of my articles anymore with a disclaimer, or caveat saying something along the lines of WARNING: The contents of this article are to be considered null and void in the event of a Reichstag Fire, false flag event, and/or an invasion by Russian Spetsnaz in collusion with Northcom,or words to that effect.
My intent is not to make light of such concerns, as God knows we have reason enough to be more than a bit edgy these dayswhat with the Patriot Act, NDAA, the torrent of Obama EOs (Executive Orders), various government agencies stockpiling millions of rounds of ammo, and other such things.
Personally, I am what you might call a cynical optimistI hope for the best, but plan for the worst. I keep myself open to the idea that the US can peacefully pull itself out of the colossal mess that it is currently mired inbut I have enough guns, ammo, freeze dried food and whatnot to open a small survivalist store.
Be that as it maythe main topic that I wish to address in this article is my decision to back the Romney/Ryan ticket, and the fallout from that. Contrary to what some of you may think, I have not rushed off and enlisted in the Dark Side. I am as opposed to the Big Bank/ Big Corporation/Big Government/Big War cabal as ever...

Shove it, you stupid oaf.
I'm hoping it was a figure of speech on your part.
Btw, I don't think this particular human can be trusted, nor reasoned with. He/she is a bit crazy, and needs help. Soon.
Doing ping lists for so long was a steady comment generator...
Oh, you really do get volatile. I suspect I outed your Mediterranean heritage, or maybe you are sensitive to having your error pointed out.
I meant no harm. As to the first, just a lucky guess based on your behavior. As to your sensitivity, all progress starts with telling the truth.
I wish you the best here in our country. Try to adapt to our ways and leave the vitriol back in the old country.
I don't want to get involved in this four way hatefest, but Romney doesn't “love” Obamacare. If he said that, please provide a link for confirmation.
I think you are referring to his comments regarding coverage for Pre Existing Conditions and keeping the rule of covering “children” to age 26 on their Parent's Policy.
IMHO, and I could be wrong, had Romney said those two items would be eliminated with nothing to replace them, he would be eviscerated as not caring and taking away Health care from those two groups. It isn't true, but truth has very little to do with Obama’s Campaign.
In fact, Obama used a speech at a College venue to attack Romney for talking away Health Insurance for College Age Students. It was an obvious Vote buying comment, but it is effective. Nothing would be taken away, it would just require the Students to get their Health Insurance Independently.
Even before Obamacare, kids attending College full time to age 21 (I believe) could stay on their Parent's Policy. Obama added five years so people like Sandra Fluke who are professional Students could be covered during their long term Indoctrination.
HA-HA, Praying for those who refuse to vote for Romney was my idea, see earlier on this thread:
I love that line, I have used it well before this thread.
Ah, Javier! Relax. You made it. You’re here. No more need to lash out to survive.
If legally, you have no worries.
If illegally, sure.
I was serious Sol! And after reading over the latest craziness out of the poster in question, I’m going to re-double my efforts!
“I’ve made that clear hundreds of times, at least. I welcome the bond collapse and repudiation of debt just ahead, because that’s the only way to decrease the size of government.”
You’re definitely one of the more politically incorrect posters I’ve run across. Repudiate the national debt?! Surely we can’t do that! Far better to tie future generations to that yoke than acknowledge that it’s a debt that can’t be repaid. And we owe it to our creditors: fine upstanding folks like communist china, saudi arabia, the soros clan, etc.
“Starve the beast, and make it small. Government cannot continue to be big without revenues from a large manufacturing base. Become more self-sufficient. Learn to manufacture something useful as a hobby for now.”
A few years back I put together a “Surviving Socialism” pinglist. Largely apolitical. Just tips for how to survive socialism. I dropped it for lack of time. But it was a good list. Half a mind to fire it up again.
Not so sure I buy off on the feminist portion of your post, but I find it interesting. Unusual and provocative perspective in these oh so PC times.
Yours is the one in 50 very good post and I appreciate it.
So let me get this straight:
If Virgil the wonderful gets one per cent of the Virginia vote. Bambi, gets 49.51% of the Virginia vote, Romney gets 49.49 percent of the vote, and those Virginia electoral votes get Bambi over the 270 mark, and had a small percentage of the Virgil Wonderful votes gone for Romney he would have gotten over the 270 mark, where does that leave us?
Answer: Reelecting the most destructive, divisive, anti-American, anti-everything we love and care for administration of radical Marxists ever.
If you got the answer before reading it here, congratulations. You actually have some capacity for logic (and math).
Good point, maybe he is using Gilbo and getting him to post that voting for Romney is evil.
Me too, wink, wink, :) Maybe we can save Gilb.
Don't forget me too. I may not be completely beyond redemption regardless of what terrible things they say about me.
The answer is simple.
Virginia is one of the battleground states that matter - one of just eight. The entire campaign will hinge on the results in that state.
For any voter not in one of those battleground states, in practical terms it matters little who you vote for.
As to being a voter in a battleground state...
Your odds of being the one voter in Virginia (that has well over 5 million voters) that tips it either way, are ridiculously small.
Have any states ever been won by just one vote?
Are you talking about George Bush? I seriously don’t know what you’re talking about and I don’t see what you point is.
“Take deep breaths. Count to 10.”
That is good advice my swarthy friend. Take it. Live well here in America.
I never said one vote.
That's your idea, and your method of changing the conversation.
Now go back and read my post to you and actually critique it or agree with it, and you'll get a conversation.
I'll wait to see if you can do that.
