The reviews continue to pour in on Clint Eastwoods appearance at the Republican National convention Thursday night, and "mixed" might be a charitable way to put it. One prominent Republican, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, said that he "cringed" at the performance.
An unattributed release from the Romney campaign defended Eastwood, according to The Wall Street Journal: "Judging an American icon like Clint Eastwood through a typical political lens doesnt work. His ad-libbing was a break from all the political speeches, and the crowd enjoyed it, the statement read.

Excellent loved it. Can’t wait for our new President to take office and end this nightmare.
“He TOTALLY took the air out of Romneys speech and anything else Romney.”
Yes, the subject talked about when Romney’s speech was over, was Clint Eastwood and it is today.
Tuco thinks you're full of it...
Actually, Eastwood didn’t even need the chair as a prop — he could have spoken directly to the teleprompter, that’s who does all the talking
Exactly! I do not want to adopt their petty smallness. But ridicule is a tool we need to pull out of the bag and use regularly on Zer0 and the Rat Party. They are certainly deserving.
Yes and we all know what deep intellect Tuco has.
I don’t see libs sniping. I see them laughing and mocking. And whatever you thought of it, it most certainly took the air out of Romney’s speech because I haven’t heard a word about that this morning.
>> Clint cracked the democratic coconuts wide open!
I have to agree. And so did his audience. Those people were not jumping to their feet and cheering and applauding like that because someone in front of the stage with a sign was *telling* them to. [Side note: in some of the other speeches, the applause *did* seem a little forced to me.]
Go ahead and attack Clint’s speech, libs. I wonder how many undecideds will watch it because of all the criticism... and come away thinking “the guy’s got a point!”.
Eastwood defined the entire campaign. He did more in eleven minutes to define Barack Obama than Mitt Romney has done in fourteen months.
The thing that ticks off Hollywood is that an 82-year old actor/director/producer still makes money unlike people like George Clooney who make political crap.
It’s the only part of the convention I have watched.
Here is the genius of Clint Eastwood.
He spoke at the convention so I will assume that he wants Romney/Ryan to win.
He knows the media better than most. The meme after Clint spoke was about how old he is and he really can’t be taken seriously. You heard this from one Obumbo MSM drone after the other.
Clint was well aware that the convention was in Florida and he rope a doped the MSM into insulting one of the largest and most important constituent groups in this election. The SENOIR CITIZENS!!!
Well played for an old Thespian Clint!
Soon the Odumbo’s will get off the White House Lawn!
I heard Donald Trump was going to bring a surprise to the convention. Did anything come of that?
Well based on the amount of flak Mr Eastwood is taking, he must of been right on target.
A good leader will surround themselves with good people. They don’t have to be in the spotlight at all times.
Sorry your candidate of choice did not win the nomination. Quit being an egoistical moron and get over it.
Eastwood pulled an ALINSKY on the Dems.....
You need to actually listen to Limbaugh once or twice. “Worship” is wrong on all counts. Support? Yes. Why? Because he’s the anti-obama candidate. No more. It’s called realism. Jump in.
Then you not paying attention. The way you beat a Cult for Personality canidate like Obama is with ridcuale and scorn. The fact that the Leftists are in such hysteria about it today shows just how effective it was
