(Written by me on 7-6-12) It finally hit me this morning. The United States will not have a Christian leader for at least four more years, regardless of our vote in November. I can say this with assuredness only after examining the testimony of our two remaining Presidential candidates, as follows.
In a 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani, Barack Obama said, “I believe that there are many paths to the same place.” Obama also said, “All people of faith—Christians, Jews, Muslims, animists, everyone knows the same God.” Animism in the belief in the existence of individual spirits that inhabit natural objects and phenomena. I had to look that one up)
Yet the Bible says otherwise: "I am Yahweh, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God." Isaiah 45:5. There any many faiths prevalent today which would be offended by the mere "intolerance" of this passage. Certainly Islam and Animism would top that list. One wonders what then Senator Barack Obama was thinking when he said that. A Christian who believes God's own testimony, (which I would highly recommend) would not nor could not utter what he did with a straight face.
On the political right, we have Mitt Romney. He is a self admitted life long Mormon. Mormon founder and leader Joseph Smith believed and Mormonism today teaches that God was not always God: “We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see clearly....and that he was once a man like us; yea, that God the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did, and I will show it from the Bible” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp.345-346.
Again, the Bible says otherwise: "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24. "The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom." Isaiah 40:28
It is clear that both of these men have "a" truth but do not have "the" Truth as identified in Holy Scripture. Should we care? Does it really matter?
I think Deuteronomy 8:19,20 provides a clear answer: "If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God."
Look around this once God fearing country and ask yourself this question: Is God slowly removing His hand of protection on our country in response to its continued persistence to "follow other gods" and disregard the truth of God's Word? Financial crisis, social degradation, climate out if control, rumors of wars! Are these improving through social "engineering" or are we instead witnessing the breakdown of our culture and the birth of a replacement society.
Check out the graph below for an interesting perspective in the rise and frequency of natural disasters in this century. Keep in mind that despite improvements in information access, the number of floods and cyclones is rising compared to earthquakes. This remains significant.

What are they teaching people in college these days anyway?
I guess we learn something new every day.
It didn't have to be a religious thing. The ham might have been a fatty piece, like the piece that comes in a can of pork and beans. Maybe he didn't want the cholesterol.
Plus, reports differ. Did he methodically pick the pieces out of the soup or did he just spoon around them and leave them uneaten? Most reports just say he "skipped" the ham.
Possibly Obama is a Muslim, but there's also the possibility he did it just to play with your head and give you something to talk about ...

Mormons have their Jacks, and Obama is a Jack Islamist.
I’d never heard that term before. I’ve heard C&E heathen though. It’s funny, my neighbor is a Jack Mormon.
Like I said previously though, he sucks as President either way.
He is a muslim and a communist... just like his father.
