God doesn’t save the collective. God saves the individual souls.
>>God doesnt save the collective. God saves the individual souls.
But He does punish the collective. Your soul is saved individually, but He can make your time on Earth very bad by just removing His protection over the nation. Remember who rules this world and who protects you from him. Obama is obeying his master, but too mamy of us only obey ours for a hour a week.
I disagree. God was instrumental and front and center before we became a nation. The Constitution was not ratified until Ben Franklin stood up a reminded people of His role in this Country. God saved America fromEnglish rule. Even those who fought for the crown.
Red Herring. Not the issue. We are talking about graces to the living.
Yes, but there's another side to that. God can't punish collectives, or nations, in the next world. He has to punish them in this world. Individuals may be saved, but during their time in this world, they're going to be hit with the punishments administered to the collective. Natural disasters, epidemics of "new" diseases (AIDS?), tyrannical political leaders, and so on.
