Jay Carney said he never lies in his capacity as White House press secretary at a Friday scholarship lunch hosted by the White House Correspondents Association:
JAY CARNEY: So I dont have these moments of crisis very much. Credibilitys enormously important for press secretaries. All of the predecessors, my living predecessors, I spoke with all of them before I took this job. I knew all of them, already. Whether they served a Republican president or a Democratic one, they all talked about the need to maintain your credibility. Which means, when I go and stand up in front of the podium, in front of the White House press corps, I never lie. I never say something that I know is not true. That means when I dont know the answer to something, I say I dont know and Ill take that question, that means that when Iwhich is often the case, I know more than I can sayI answer it in a way that is truthful without obviously betraying the things that I cant say for national security reasons or other reasons. But thatsits a fundamental principle of doing the job that, for the folks who cover a president, they have to have some faithsubstantial faiththat while they know I cant say everything, and those who work for the president cant say everything, what we are saying is true.
Carney has made a number of questionable statements as press secretary, however.
Carney told reporters in April that the president had never argued the Buffett Rule

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Pinocchio speaks.
“I’d tell ya the truth FOUR or FIVE different ways before I’d lie to ya.”
Kind of like that riddle where you need to get information from two guys. One of them always lies, and the other always tells the truth.
In this case, it’s pretty clear which one Carney is. He never tells the truth. Ever.
He is just a press secretary for a spokesperson for the person behind the scenes who calls the shots but is never seen.
I’m sure he believes everything he says, which means he is delusional, not a liar.
Liberals always say that, but as everyone knows they can’t help but lie
Sheesh, the next thing I hear will be something REALLY crazy like Romney is severely conservative or somethin'.
“I Never Lie”. LOL! Well, at least now we know he has a sense of humor.
Once you learn to believe any bulls**t you spout, you never have to lie.
He doesn’t lie, he prevaricates.
Carney: I Never Lie,>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Joseph Goebbels said the same thing as Carney.
Carney is the propaganda mouth piece for a liberal fascist, angry, narcist president. Therefore he is loathable.
Carney perpetrates the presidents lies, and makes sure that no single press member asks embarrassing contradictive questions about the presidents lies. That’s credibility? Buahahahahahahaha!

Goebbels and Carney seem to look alike somehow.Hoodwinkers.
He just told another whopper!
Most liars lie about lying. It is endemic to the breed, and Carney is clearly no exception.
WH reporters need to wear hazmat suits from now on. The verbal crap out of this guy’s mouth is incredible.
Of course, God forbid that 0bama actually give a press conference.
He’s a snollygoster, to be sure.
“Credibilitys enormously important for press secretaries”
No it’s not. No one believes anything they say.
“Kind of like that riddle where you need to get information from two guys. One of them always lies, and the other always tells the truth.”
By the way, the solution is to ask either what the other guy would say. Whichever you ask, the opposite is true.
