Fear of rioting anarchists has Chicagoans (Obama’s “hometown”) getting ready to flee to safety

Fears of Chicago NATO riots are so heightened that a big condo association has warned its residents to flee their homes for their own safety from Sunday May 19 through May 21. So much for peaceful protesting by world wide objectors upset about nearly everything.

“We are STRONGLY recommending that all residents find alternative places to stay,” says a Property Manager’s letter sent to all residents last Thursday.

“In the event of a riot or the potential of one near the building, all access doors will be locked,” Michele Maeder is telling her condo dwellers in the Library Tower high rise located at 520 South State Street.

All hospitality and entertainment rooms will be locked along with their revolving door beginning early on Friday of the NATO weekend. Emergency egress only will be allowed through a side alley.

No dog walkers, no cleaning ladies, or anyone else will be allowed in or out during the critical time when the Condo is under siege. The building is also hiring two armed off duty police officers to protect residents! While the exact arrival time of protestors is still unknown, a protest route has finally been approved.

Grant Park’s Petrillo Band Shell, the site of the Obama huge election night celebration, will be the starting point for protestors.

They will proceed on State Street right past the Library Tower Condominium and around McCormick Place where the NATO Summit will be held. “There will be absolutely no deliveries or moves permitted between Friday, May 18 and Monday, May 21,” Manager Maeder is telling her residents.

So much for Mayor Rahm Emanuel who was looking to build great photo ops for his possible run at the White House in 2016. Already, his nose reportedly got out of joint…

I was just thinking, what about the patriot riders, veterans and the Tea Party getting together beforehand? Have a tailgate party (or rear fender party). I would go. The churches should go, too. Always good to sing praises and thanks for what God has given us, and is quite able to take away.

Clueless police chief McCarthy has boasted that, unlike NYC, the Chicago cops are not surveiling the foreign Muslim community.The Chicago authorities are obsessed with keeping the spoiled suburban white kids from breaking windows while at the same time pleasing the ACLU. Their eye is off the terrorist ball. Although I use them almost daily, I will be staying out of the Chicago subways in the days leading up to, and during, the summit. Now, if they’re talking Anarcho-Syndicalists then we’re getting somewhere. And, to tell you the honest truth, NO-ONE is going to be scared of the union guys in Chicago (90% are NOT people who really support the union, but in Chicago what choice do you have in any skilled trade) - what they ARE scared of are the gangs on the South and West side, and I think it will be a long, hot summer indeed.

They may try to frame this as some “labor” movement, but those paying attention (particularly those in and around Chicago) know exactly what this is, and it’s NOT anarchy. Jesse Jackson, his son J.J.Jr., Rev. Wright, Farrakhan, Ayers, Dohrn, etc... etc... have been waiting for this for a long time.

Anyway, I’m glad I’m not in the area anymore but I worry for the safety of my family and friends in and around the city. I pray nightly for a former classmate who had the “luck” to be assigned to one of the worst precincts in Chicago. BTW, Rahm Emmanuel’s shaking up of how the Chicago PD responds to gang violence is going to make this 100 times worse, from what I hear. This won’t be police responding to a shooting, this will be more like warfare.

Funny because up here in Central WI we’ve been having an influx of new people in the last few years. And, the majority of those families moving into my neighborhood are of mixed heritage (black and caucasian, black and latino/hispanic). I’ve seen a few kids around whose parents obviously didn’t move soon enough (gangbangers, or wannabees), but the majority are traditional nuclear families with small children. The *gangbangers* are a VERY rare sight - at least for now (and trust me I’ve been keeping my eye out for tags, tats, etc...).

If people were REALLY so afraid of racist whites WHY in the WORLD would these families choose to come to Central Wisconsin of all places - I don’t know the exact stats for our area, but it’s probably something like 85% caucasian, 10% Hmong, and MAYBE 10% if you combined blacks and hispanics into one group. Statistics may be skewed though because like I mentioned a lot of these families are of mixed ancestry. Seems to me these people are moving out of the cities because they KNOW what’s going on and are hearing *both* sides. I don’t blame them for being scared.
