Last week, media outlets filed motions to unseal the records concerning the arrest of George Zimmerman in connection with the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Sooner than later, the public will see what evidence special prosecutor Angela Corey has that warranted the filing of second-degree murder charges.
Absent something new in Corey's file, one of America's best-known lawyers feels the case against Zimmerman is doomed. Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz believes that the murder charges will be thrown out.
In a recent interview with me, Dershowitz acknowledged the low evidentiary bar necessary at this juncture but still opined that Corey has not met it.
"Most affidavits of probable cause are very thin," Dershowitz said. "This is so thin that it won't make it past the judge on a second-degree murder charge. There is simply nothing in there that would justify second-degree murder. The elements of the crime aren't established ...

Just tryin to keep from cryin. D... I don’t want Romany, but CERTAINLY don’t want Obummer. Silliness helps.
When the Left flips out and reports some Whitey has Gone Goetz on a pack of feral yoots we know who dun it! LOL!
I’m fervently hoping for a revolution at the convention.
I really don’t think I can vote for Romney. I really, really hate vomiting bile.
???
And what judge is going to have the stones to dismiss the charge? What is Alan smoking?
The fix is in - - Zimmerman is toast.
Sheesh... I cannot believe some people want to pretend that the "justice system" suddenly isn't a pathetic joke anymore.
If Zimmerman goes to trial my bet the jury vote will be on racial lines. Any Blacks on the jury will vote to convict him no matter what the evidence or lack of evidence. Kind a reverse of the OJ Simpson trial where Black jurors all voted to acquit. In reaction to an acquittal there will be riots in major cities, similar to the riots with Rodney King whipped up by the Black Panthers and other radical groups with certainly the tacit support of the White House.
No case at all as far based on what we have seen in the public. Just as should have been done from the start of this case, we should still wait to see if the prosecutor has any evidence that we have not seen before completely making up our minds. Still when someone is being railroaded it is tough.
Perhaps this one...

“Rick Scott is disgusting.”
Based on what?
How do you feel about Scott Walker, another 1st term R Gov?
The entire exercise is to placate the mob.
Obama is actually a white black man.
Help me out. How does Dershowitz know the evidence when he files have been sealed? Is he going by what the rest of us see/hear or does he have special access to the evidence?
“Maybe Scott set Corey up the bomb.”
(”For great Justice.”)
I agree, Mr. K!!!
When the prosecutor has evidence that makes the case strong, they telegraph that in their charging documents, by referring to the particular piece of evidence.
This charging document has ZERO to support "depraved mind," which is an element of the charged crime.
But, as you point out, there is no way to know what the prosecutor actually has. O'Mara will know, this Friday.
Think more events like this will start happening in other cities?
He may not _want_ official protection. Considering the state would be both prosecuting him and protecting him, a polite decline of official protection may be in order. Relevant quote from one knowing the subject: “...we found it necessary to point out to our employers that a bodyguard is not much use if he is working for the other side. No matter how much you pay your own bodyguard, other people can offer him more.” May take little to grease a palm for Z’s whereabouts when the protectors are state agents. Better to find earnest protection from other sources harder to identify and harder to corrupt.
Trayvon's father claims the opposite (or did before he lawyered up). A news report from 22 March claims the lead detective played the 911 recordings for Tracey Martin shortly after the incident, and he said the voice calling for help was not his son's. Oops.
Beats the Miniature Mulatto.
