NewsWeek/DailyBeast The Roberts Courts rulings appear to be a concerted effort to send us back to the Gilded Age. If they dump the Affordable Care Act, writes David Dow, we should dump them.
You think the idea is laughable? Thomas Jefferson disagreed with you.
Jefferson believed Supreme Court justices who undermine the principles of the Constitution ought to be impeached, and that wasnt just idle talk. During his presidency, Jefferson led the effort to oust Justice Salmon Chase, arguing that Chase was improperly seizing power. The Senate acquitted Chase in 1805, and no Justice has been impeached since, but as the Supreme Court threatens to nullify the health-care law, Jeffersons idea is worth revisiting.
The problem with the current court is not merely that there is a good chance it will strike down a clearly constitutional law. The problem is that this decision would be the latest salvo in what seems to be a sustained effort on the part of the Roberts Court to return the country to the Gilded Age. [...]

Newsweek is full of idiots.
Like their boy, Barack Hussein Obama, the commies at Newsweek are just itching for a civil war in this country. Probably in hopes that a civil war would boost their subscription numbers out of the toilet.
If they want to believe the law is constitutional, let them.
If they think there are enough votes in Congress to impeach anyone for their vote on Obamacare, they are nuts.
This administration seems determined to leave civilized people with no other choice...
Coordinated attack.....on the Constitution, on America.
Liberals have become Bolsheviks.
They really, really want another Soviet Union. Here.
Just...lol.
I’m ignorant here, but it seems to me that Impeachment Articles would need to be passed by the House so the Senate could sit in judgment.
I’m thinking the writers here are just tossing trial balloons in the air, trying to keep people upset and off-balance because even if the Justices upheld Obamacare, no one in the House is going to bring forward Articles against any, some or all of them.
Just another article designed to add to the noise and increase the tention. Irresponsible behavior, if you ask me.
Yawn - - - - .
they deliberately took out the sever-ability clause knowing it’d get tossed by the SCOTUS ... then they could use it to fuel the fire going into the summer
occu-tards
black racists rioting against whites for a hispanic shooting a black man in self defense
and now there will be riots by all those freeloaders that wanted healthcare for free (free to them, at least)
Hey Pat, it remains to be proven that it IS a
constitutional law, that will be done by the
highest court in the land.
Why not late term abortions for all of newsweek. “Affordable abortions” in the best of communist indoctrinations to their religion of evil.
No which judges would that be..the ones that Obama put in himself, including the one that was seen jumping for joy and having dinner with Sebelias after it passed..yeah I doubt that anything would happen to sweet sweet little Kagen
Impeach all the liberals who do not believe in or support the Constitution, but believe that the sheople rule themselves. oBa-a-a-a-a-a-amma-a-a-a-a-a-a speaks for them.
“clearly constitutional” must mean “but we want it” to tards like newsweak writer David Dow.
Not till we impeach Kagan for improperly participating in a decision she had a naked and impeachable “conflict of interest” in!!!
Yes they are.
What does Nooseweak know?
