Group Stands By Bounty Offer For Zimmerman (New Black Panthers)["...we are military."]

The separatist New Black Panther Party, described as a hate group by a civil rights organization, is standing by its $10,000 bounty offer for the capture of the man who shot Trayvon Martin, despite vehement opposition from, among others, Martin's family.

"We're here to make them do their job," organizer Mikhail Muhammad said on Monday. "We will support Trayvon's family, but we are military."

Martin was shot February 26 by George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer, while walking back from a Sanford, Florida, convenience store. Zimmerman, according to friends and his attorney, Craig Sonner, said he killed Martin, 17, in self-defense.

Mohammad said the U.S. Constitution grants people the right to make a citizen's arrest, although he also said, a short time later, that he doesn't "obey the white man's law, I don't follow the American law."

If Mikhail wants to act under the tenets of citizen’s arrest, he had best remember that the citizen making the arrest MUST have seen the offense.

No one alive, other than Zimmerman saw the shooting, thus no citizen’s arrest by the NBPP could be legal. But I Zimmerman cannot reasonably expect any kind of justice from these clowns. Besides, who would they turn him over to? There is not even probable cause to hold him for a Grand Jury indictment. Would he be secreted away at the NBPP behest, kidnapped in every respect?

I feel for Zimmerman. I wish he had the friends and family I do, and as some here on FR undoubtedly have.

Arrests? Sounds like they will be doing the arresting. Obama's civilian defense force taking shape and the DOJ has already signaled that it is on their side. If anything, the DOJ will make sure that Zimmerman is brought up on civil rights charges if the locals won't convict him.
