Yes, indeed that one young man is dead. Zimmerman no matter what has his life changed for the worst. I understand he is in hiding. The parents of the young lad are always going to suffer. If only we could turn the clock back.
I had offered what it is like to be threatened by a person when one is completely alone. It depends what Zimmerman thought at the time and only he knows. There is an awful sensation of cold abject fear in some cases. If a person feels that fear, he/she will do anything to defend themselves. On the other hand if he felt rage and anger, it might be judged differently.
Excuse the ramble, but on a much lighter note I am going to print up your sayings concerning old age. My wife bought me a handsome sweatshirt inscribed "Old age comes at an inconvenient time". It gets a few chuckles. I hope I not get to anyone with off topic stuff.
My sincere hope is that somehow a lesson can be learned and youths can avoid this kind of tragedy. Also persons who are suffering an inner stress at the disturbance of quiet neigbourhoods, can cool it. Let the police handle it.

Your neighborhood has obviously not been victimized by a spate of robberies. Ours was several years ago and the neighbors got together.
