Back Stab Sarah Palin As Portrayed By Her Disloyal Staff. MAR 19, 2012, VOL. 17, NO. 26 BY JOHN PODHORETZ
Nicolle Wallace was the onetime consultant to CBS News and media aide to George W. Bush who was assigned to work with Sarah Palin after the Alaska governor was chosen as John McCains running mate. It was Wallace who assured the McCain campaign that her dear friend Katie Couric, a committed liberal with a history of interviewing Republicans and conservatives in a quietly nasty way, was the right journalist to conduct a major early interview with the extremely conservative vice-presidential nominee.
Palin has only herself to blame for how horribly she came off, but as she was the most hotly sought-after interview in the world at the time, the McCain campaign could have picked and chosen and been cleverly calculating about which journalist would win the prize. Wallace was responsible for one of the great blunders in political advance work of modern media history.
Now, imagine youre making a movie about the Palin story, one that demonstrates a modicum of sympathy for Sarah Palins excoriation at the hands of the media. (I know, Im talking crazy, but go with me here.) In such a movie, Nicolle Wallaces catastrophic guidance could have been portrayed in several ways. It could have been played as a simple goof, a wrongheaded political calculation. Or as an example of a kind of golly-gee naïveté, with Wallace being snowed by a seductive Couric. Or as a careerist move killing two birds with one stone, with Wallace seeking to stay in the good graces of her former colleague Couric despite several years of working for Republicans.
Needless to say, that is not how Nicolle Wallace is portrayed in Game Change, ...

Yeah I remember that, McCain was like “The media loves me, they really really love me” stupid ass..he actually believed it too..I dont even think Romney is that dumb, or maybe he is LOL. Mark Levin was right when he said a few days ago “Name me one moderate Republican who ever won.” He’s right, how many times will the GOP keep on nominating moderates, for what, democrats will NEVER vote for a Republican..so why are they falling into this trap again..and again..and again.
Sarah does belong in the White House for sure..that is why I think if Newt were to become President, he would make her Energy Secretary, she would be perfect for that role, and could use it on her resume when she runs for President in 2016, Newt would pass the torch to her.
Ive said it before and I will say it again, John McCain did NOT want to become President..if he wanted to he would have given a better effort then his lame half ass effort(I dont even think he used half his ass!) the second he said “You don’t have to fear an Obama Presidency” that is when I knew the election was over.
Were Newt to win the nomination, I think he would offer her any role she wanted,.... and once he won I think he would offer her any cabinet position she wanted: Energy, State, whatever...lol. She would campaign her heart out for him. I hope she goes to Texas to campaign for him alongside of Governor Perry. That would be the time for her to make her move on the cmapaign trail, IMHO.
McCain will always be an ass. His endorsement of Romney sealed it. I’m through with everyone who endorsed Romney and I’ve kept a list. They’re all cheap sell-outs who want to advance their GOP establishment careers. No guts, no glory, so GTH and take the GOP-E with ya!
I might add, that I am very impressed and will always remember the two patriot, former rivals who endorsed Newt: Governor Perry and Herman Cain. Those two will always have my support in all their future endeavors.
You’re right Cuda.
Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead!
It’s an hour later than you think.
Good night and God bless you!
I really didn't need any more reason to despise Romney and his Reptiles, but the gifts just keep piling up.
I will never vote for that communist POS, or for any candidate pushed by his reptilian supporters. May all of them burn in Hell.
McCain will always be a chicken, afraid to go after Obama..I’ll never forget it, when Sarah was doing some campaign rallies, I forgot where at the time, I think it was PA, it was during the time the Rashid Khalidi tapes were being talked about, how the LA Times refused to release them. I called one of the McCain campaign headquarters in the area and told them to tell Sarah to talk about the tape, that if she spoke about it people would listen since the media followed her everywhere..and the lady said she would pass along the message, so then I hear that Sarah did in fact mention the tape in one of her campaign events..but then she didn’t mention it again and I called back, asking “What happened, how come she stopped talking about the tape?” and the lady said that the campaign had notified her that they would not be playing “Dirty politics” and would no longer be mentioning the tape..just imagine being Sarah Palin, trying to win, trying to Vet Obama, meanwhile the morons around her either don’t want to win or are too damn scared to even try.
When I hear Romney refer to his supporters as his “Friends” I just smack my hand on my head and say “Oh hell no not this crap again!”
Thanks for letting me know about setting the clock ahead one hour..WOOO HOOO another hour of sleep!!
Am not sure if I’m on your Newt ping list so in case I’m not, please add me :-)
FOJM. You self serving SOB.
Huh? I dont understand what that means
Forget off Juam McCain.
Uhh, setting the clock ahead one hour (Spring forward) means you LOSE an hour of sleep!
Anyone who wants to read more about the couric interview, read Sarah's book, and get her side of the story.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh LOL for a second I thought I had said something that offended you..scared me there for a min LOL
It was obvious
Ohhhhhhh damn whoops, my mistake. We are losing an hour of sleep, Ok I feel silly now
I have kept the list too.
Thanks onyx. Sarah remains grounded n reality.
Schmidt and Wallace ran the worst campaign in US history. If what you say that they were Romney people, then we have an inside job at work. I suspect they did it to insure that McCain lost and set up 2012 for Romney. They knew that if McCain were elected, he would get a 2nd term and keep Romney from the White House for eight years. They tried to use Sarah Palin to drag down the campaign. They tossed her into the interviews, hoping the networks would tear her down enough to hurt the campaign. If anything, that tactic did not work as well as the Saturday Night Live lie. I knew the fix was in when the McCain team did not counter the Saturday Night Live smear job.
I think McCain was so caught up with Sarah Palin, that he did not watch his campaign close enough to figure out his campaign was being sabotaged. It shows what an inept president he would have been.
I think McCain was jealous of Palin’s success..he didn’t think she would bring in the huge crowds that she ended up drawing. He thought he could use her as his puppet, but she turned out to be a very powerful voice and attracted HUGE crowds and McCain was jealous, jealous that people would only come to his rallies to see her, jealous that instead chanting his name they would chant hers. From what I have read Nicolle Wallace’s husband is now working on Romney’s campaign(Surprise Surprise!) Its like the saying goes “If I can’t have you no one can” as far as Wallace and Schmidt were concerned, if Romney couldn’t be VP, then neither was Sarah, that simple. All Wallace and Schmidt are doing now is trying to deflect attention away from what a horrible campaign they ran and blame everything on Sarah Palin, please, if it weren’t for Sarah Palin I would have stayed home, McCain was such an utter bore, it was like pulling teeth with him to say anything of substance, it was always the same boring speech, Sarah Palin energized that campaign, gave it life, I actually contributed to a campaign, first time in my life, when her name was announced..but instead of wanting to win, McCain’s cronies decided to blow the election so that Romney would have a chance in 2012 to become the nominee
You! offend me? Nevuh! love your posts.
