WorldNetDaily’s Farah: Rubio ineligible for VP slot, not a ‘natural-born citizen’ [VIDEO]

Tonight on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Joseph Farah alleged that Florida senator Marco Rubio is ineligible to serve as vice president, saying he’s “not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years.”

Farah, the editor of WorldNetDaily.com, drove much of the controversy over President Barack Obama‘s birth certificate, claiming the president also was ineligible to serve because of where he was born.

He speculated that former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum hasn’t been more aggressive in taking on Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney because he is angling to be Romney’s running mate.

“I think Santorum is doing one of two things,” Farah said. “He is either trying to position himself as, ‘Hey, there is no mud on me and I’m a bona fide conservative’ and that is going to propel him in the race. Or, the other thing that crossed my mind — he was really talking about Newt criticizing Romney — the thought occurred to me, is he trying to position for a vice presidential candidacy there?”

Host Sean Hannity said Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is more likely to share the ticket if Romney wins the GOP nomination. But Farah declared that Rubio would not be eligible.

HANNITY: I think that’s taken. It’s got to be Rubio. That’s my guess.
BOB BECKEL: If it’s not, somebody’s lost their mind.
FARAH: Rubio is not eligible.
HANNITY: Whoa, what do you mean, ‘Rubio’s not –
FARAH: He’ll lose 10 percent of the Republican vote because he is not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years.
HANNITY: I don’t believe that. I don’t think that’s going to work.

The constitution is created to protect the minority.
Just because the mob majority act to violate the constitution and say any ‘born citizen’ can be pres does not make it the law and we don’t have to ‘live with it’. Article 2 can only be changed by an amendment. Congress had tried 8 times to change the definition of nbc but failed every time!
So if the majority say obama is white, you will just agree he is white because the majority say so?

You say the fear of a perceived ‘civil war’ is reason for not upholding the Constitution?

You are not giving the people any credit when you assume a ‘civil war’ will result when obozo is declared illegitimate!

AND - where is the conclusive proof that obozo was born in USA? The online digital image of bc is hardly proof - they have been proven to be fraudulent!
And why does Hawaii refuse to issue the orig bc if the one on the Net is a real copy of what they have in the vault?

I think Sean Hannity is a puppy dog, wants to make everyone one feel loved. I’ve heard a few sympathetic things from him with regard to the eligibility issue but he always sounds slightly nervous like his producer is motioning him to SHUT UP about all that. He also can’t seem to help pandering to his pet liberals (e.g. Joseph Lieberman, Bob Beckel).

‘We call children of illegals born in the US citizens and give family rights and point to the 14th amendment but when it comes to Rubio it’s null and void?’
No one is saying it is null and void for Rubio!
Rubio is a USA citizen, he is just NOT a natural born citizen! He can be called a ‘birthright citizen’. He can be senator, congressman and any other gov official, just NOT the pres or the VP.
The pres or the VP must have sole allegiance to USA hence the natural born citizen requirement (i.e. birth by nature - by both place of birth and parentage.)

Were his parents US citizens at his birth or not?

According to wiki, he was born in Miami in 1971, and his parents did not become citizens until 1975.

I am sure he meant to.

His ad campaign for three years must have just had a typo and all the headlines and banners were actually supposed to read: “Where's the father's birth certificate?”.

You know how these editorial errors can just happen and not get caught until after ten thousand usages.

The Constitution does matter...

Not the made-up birther one.

But that's the only one that does matter.

Otherwise you're some kind of traitorous paid Obot deep cover agent with questionable sexual mores.

Regardless of legal history, I think the standard operating legal definition now is IF YOU WERE BORN A CITIZEN... blah blah blah...birther stuff. ...it could cause as much as a civil war if they did... We need to live with that, and move on.

If the choice is between upholding the Constitution and a civil war, then we better be mustering the troops, because this Republic is NO MORE if the Constitution is void.

I almost WISH civil war, now. People like you have given up on the Constitution, and if there isn't a civil war, we will become a totalitarian state within my lifetime.
