WorldNetDaily’s Farah: Rubio ineligible for VP slot, not a ‘natural-born citizen’ [VIDEO]
The Daily Caller ^ | February 1, 2012 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 02/01/2012 8:34:09 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Tonight on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Joseph Farah alleged that Florida senator Marco Rubio is ineligible to serve as vice president, saying he’s “not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years.”

Farah, the editor of WorldNetDaily.com, drove much of the controversy over President Barack Obama‘s birth certificate, claiming the president also was ineligible to serve because of where he was born.

He speculated that former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum hasn’t been more aggressive in taking on Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney because he is angling to be Romney’s running mate.

“I think Santorum is doing one of two things,” Farah said. “He is either trying to position himself as, ‘Hey, there is no mud on me and I’m a bona fide conservative’ and that is going to propel him in the race. Or, the other thing that crossed my mind — he was really talking about Newt criticizing Romney — the thought occurred to me, is he trying to position for a vice presidential candidacy there?”

Host Sean Hannity said Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is more likely to share the ticket if Romney wins the GOP nomination. But Farah declared that Rubio would not be eligible.

HANNITY: I think that’s taken. It’s got to be Rubio. That’s my guess.
BOB BECKEL: If it’s not, somebody’s lost their mind.
FARAH: Rubio is not eligible.
HANNITY: Whoa, what do you mean, ‘Rubio’s not –
FARAH: He’ll lose 10 percent of the Republican vote because he is not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years.
HANNITY: I don’t believe that. I don’t think that’s going to work.

Obama won’t say a word unless we try to bring it up. If we do, we will be labelled hypocrites. The problem with doing wrong is that wrong is done. From that point on we will never be able to challenge anyone who violates the law. The Red Chinese, Russians, any enemy country will be able to sneak people across our porous borders, drop babies anywhere in our country and groom them to run for president even though their allegiance will be to their parents’ home country.

The law was created to keep people with foreign allegiances from becoming president. We will no longer have any defense to keep that from happening if we decide we can do wrong and get away with it.

Does it seem odd to anyone else, that Hannity would have Joseph Farah on tv, the day after he called birthers idiots on his radio program?

What a double standard. We call children of illegals born in the US citizens and give family rights and point to the 14th amendment but when it comes to Rubio it’s null and void?

This country needs to clarify this issue once and for all. Myself, I think you have to be under the jurisdiction of the US, ie citizen, or your kids born even on US soil are not as you are not.

Thus, Rubio is not eligible to be VP or president. That should also apply to all. If it does not then Rubio should be eligible.

We can’t create two systems (or two Americas as that creep John Edwards campaigned on) out of the same amendment.

Edwards was correct in that there are two Americas - one full of law abiding citizens that are tired of being regulated to death while the other class tells us what to do while exempting themselves.

"...natural born citizen” is simply going to mean “born in the USA.”

That is pure bullsh_t and NO I want move on. This is about the constitution and I matters to me. Don't let the liberal left trick you into this. That is their mantra. Natural born citizen is someone who is born to parents that are US citizens. Only liberal judges would bend that to say it simply means born in the USA.

Were his parents US citizens at his birth or not?

Wrong question. The right question is, was he born a US citizen?

Nope. If that were the case, Mr. Obama would likely by nbc, unless the Kenya story is true.

Rubio, for a lack of any better way to put it is an anchor baby. Clearly not eligible.

Born to Cuban refugees who didn’t want to become US citizens because they wanted to go back to Cuba.

" They know...it could cause as much as a civil war if they did. Hence, even with the iffy birth certificate (I know, the birthers are convinced it’s a fake...they may be right, so what!?) “natural born citizen” is simply going to mean “born in the USA.”

No it won't. The framers added this requirement to guarantee loyalty to the United States. By your definition a head of the communist party in China could have a baby while visiting the US and later have that child elected president of the United States after having been fully raised as loyal to communist China.

Yes that makes perfect sense. Now hand him the nuclear football!

I'm sorry but any interpretation of NBC other than being born to two citizen parents is just pure derangement.

China is flying them over by the thousands for US citizenship birth vacations.

I thought I heard of a Chinese woman who gave birth in flight over US airspace claiming her baby to be a US citizen.

Next, they will be gathering actual soil from the United States and flying it back to their home country so they can be “born on American soil”.

Madness brought to you by Ded Kennedy and the leftist courts.

Did Farah make this argument in 2008 when it could have made a difference? Everyone knew Barrack’s dad was Kenyan, yet I can’t remember a single article on the Natural vs. Native born argument until December 2008.

HANNITY: I don’t believe that.

A "believer" is like a a kid who believes in Santa Clause. Who treats the real world as if it is DisneyWorld, full of imagined things, pleasant things, happy things, and never anything disagreeable.

Hannity thinks of the Constitution in the way of a believer. The logic goes like: What is agreeable is in it, what is disagreeable must not truly be in it.

Farah, like everyone else is Johnny-come-lately to the Vattel argument --despite the insistence from everyone supporting at that they all learned it back in elementary school civics class.

They were not, it doesn't matter, and fortunately for Rubio, nobody outside of Joseph Farah and his birther circus is buying any of this nonsense.

At the end of the 12th Amendment

.... But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

What is also interesting...the media keeps pushing the idea of Rubio VP. This comes at a time when globalist are making big inroads against US sovereignty.
