Tonight on Fox News Channels Hannity, Joseph Farah alleged that Florida senator Marco Rubio is ineligible to serve as vice president, saying hes not a natural-born citizen. Weve been through this with Obama now for four years.
Farah, the editor of WorldNetDaily.com, drove much of the controversy over President Barack Obamas birth certificate, claiming the president also was ineligible to serve because of where he was born.
He speculated that former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum hasnt been more aggressive in taking on Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney because he is angling to be Romneys running mate.
I think Santorum is doing one of two things, Farah said. He is either trying to position himself as, Hey, there is no mud on me and Im a bona fide conservative and that is going to propel him in the race. Or, the other thing that crossed my mind he was really talking about Newt criticizing Romney the thought occurred to me, is he trying to position for a vice presidential candidacy there?
Host Sean Hannity said Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is more likely to share the ticket if Romney wins the GOP nomination. But Farah declared that Rubio would not be eligible.
HANNITY: I think thats taken. Its got to be Rubio. Thats my guess.
BOB BECKEL: If its not, somebodys lost their mind.
FARAH: Rubio is not eligible.
HANNITY: Whoa, what do you mean, Rubios not
FARAH: Hell lose 10 percent of the Republican vote because he is not a natural-born citizen. Weve been through this with Obama now for four years.
HANNITY: I dont believe that. I dont think thats going to work.
And does it matter?
Isn’t romney ineligible also? His parents were Mexican citizens.
What has he done to be such a big 'star' in the Republican party besides being hispanic!
He's an elite Republcan pick.
Regardless of legal history, I think the standard operating legal definition now is IF YOU WERE BORN A CITIZEN.
I don’t care what Black’s Law dictionary says, or English history or the blah blah blah...birther stuff.
It doesn’t really matter whether they are right or not...as the legal-elites (including and especially the Supremes) are not going to rule that Obama is somehow illegitimate. They know...it could cause as much as a civil war if they did. Hence, even with the iffy birth certificate (I know, the birthers are convinced it’s a fake...they may be right, so what!?) “natural born citizen” is simply going to mean “born in the USA.”
We need to live with that, and move on. Farah’s a nincompoop.
Rubio was born on American soil, in Miami, in 1971. But Rubio’s parents were Cubans, who didn’t become US citizens until 1975.
Should be interesting.
Rubio’s parents, like Jindal’s, were not citizens at the time of his birth. Dunno, if that matters.
Indeed. Aren’t you glad that Team Obama knows nothing about that and won’t use it, or the polygamy angle, as well?
No. His parents were not US citizen at his birth.

Yeah, we all know Dems don't have to worry about such things as the law or the Constitution.
Now, now....Lady J. Relax and tell us what you really think.
Natural born is not the same as being born a citizen. Read the Constitution. It has always been thus only today being bastardized by Libs, RINOS and their useful tools.
Unsubstantiated claims such as this are being made by Obama supporters to undermine the credibility of the valid issues about Obama’s eligibility. If one has real evidence than by all means present it. But is it wise to spread unsubstantiated speculation started by Obama supporters?
born May 28, 1971 in Miami, FL (Meets the Jus Soli Requirement)
Parents were
Mario Rubio born in Cuba, naturalized Nov. 5, 1975.
Oria Garcia born in Cuba, naturalized Nov. 5, 1975.
Parents were NOT US Citizens at the time of his birth (Does NOT meet the Jus Sanguinis Requirement)
Marco Rubio is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.
Marco's status is the same as that of Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, who is NOT a Natural Born Citizen.
Why are you posting this to me? I haven’t said a word about George Romney. I was responding to the post about Rubio.
I am sorry it was a screw up that it went to you. I hit reply to the wrong post somehow; getting old I guess.
It was meant to go to WVNan
Well, we all know that Rubio on a ticket would be devastating for the Dems.
So... why don’t we put him on the ticket and let Obama challenge his NBC status.
We can always replace a VP nominee if Obama decides to file a challenge.. but then of course, he’ll have that precedent to deal with himself.
No problem, Fireman 15. I am old!
May the Lord bless you with many more years.
