ANY sensible Republican will talk about Rezko, Sinclair, Cocaine, homosexuality, Birth Certificates, Islam, corruption and Fast and Furious.
For Republicans to use napalm on themselves, and then to enagage in the politics of politeness against Obama is to send up a big surrender flag.

The MSM will go very negative on Newt, and any other candidate for that matter. It will be a thousand times worse than the mild criticism he is facing now.
The more thermonuclear they go on Newt the more I like him.

Outrageous does not begin to characterize this. Every hour it becomes more vital that Santorum man up, take one for the Republic, and endorse Gingrich.
Sadly when the GOP establishment decides to get rid of someone they usually succeed. I feel sick at my stomach watching this kill Newt operation doing its dirty work. Its going to be very hard for Newt to overcome this. The GOP Elites want Mitt and they are going to make sure we get him.
If he picks Palin as his VP running mate you’ll see thermonuclear unlike anything seen before by the Left.
I agree with you. I don’t see this as scorched earth. So he criticized Reagan? So did G.H. Bush and he went on to become president. This is all they’ve got??? And Rush is hysterical about it.
This isn’t criticism. It is flat out lies.
The only significant result of convincing people not to vote for Newt — the ONLY significant result — is the nomination of Mitt Romney.
I don’t care what they say, that’s what they want.
And the only significant result of a Mitt Romney nomination is another four years of Obama.

If I never see another page of Drudge or Coulter or Tyrrell, no great loss. They need to dry up and blow away.
This is not thermonuclear. This is very mild criticism compared to what Newt will face if he gets the nomination and runs against Obama. It is better that Newt deal with this stuff now rather than in October for the first time.Granted the attacks will be worse in the general election, but Gingrich will not be getting attacked by Obama in the fall for having criticized Ronald Reagan. He won't be getting attacked from the right.
The establishment is bringing out all the big guns....they don’t care that Mitt is a marxist or and ultra liberal...they just don’t want Newt....!

When you start taking a lot of flak, you know you are over the target.
The public shift is entirely due to Newt’s poor/lack of response to Mitt’s beat-down in the last debate. Ads don’t matter much; the public can see through them. Reagan’s primary performance proved it.
What is the use. Santorum is obviously sided with Romney, is staying in to weaken Newt, probably under direct collusion with Romney. (Perhaps a promise of a job in the Romney administration.)
This will be the first election I sit out, if Romney gets it.
