The stimulus was the very first order of business in the obama white house.
As Rahm Emanuel famously said. "never let a crisis go to waste."
They didn't.
The stimulus was the biggest most wasteful most larded up boondoggles in us history - and it failed miserably to achieve its stated goals.
Emphasis on "stated" - because the real goals were not the stated ones. the real goal was to funnel taxpayer money to the machine - and then lock it in for years to come.
How would they lock it in? simple: just don't pass a real budget. Run the federal government on continuing resolutions and debt ceiling increases.
Cunning plan. So far it has worked.

Stimulus is the word the Leftists use, another more clear word for the actions of the Chicago Mafia actions is theft of funds. That is what happened. Lots of scurrilous people became very rich as a result of the scum called Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
It is shameful Boehner and the Republican Congress did not hold the line and demand a budget be passed by the Senate. The House appropriates funds per the Constitution and the House is controlled by the Republican Party. The fact we are operating under continuing resolutions in 2012 is due to the failure of Republican leadership.

You haven’t taken into account what the sleazes tied to the bills the Republicans were forced to pass. The fact we are operating under continuing resolutions in 2012 is due to the unconstitutional actions of Obama and his minions in Congress.
This is the same sort of failed leadership that cost the Republicans the majority back when GW was shakin’ at the white-crib.

In my opinion, Zer0 and the DemonRATs want to prolong the recession (or depression, depending on who you read) in order to have a perpetual “blame it on Bush and the Republicans.” That image of all this suffering was brought on the nation by Bush and the Republicans can keep the country biased against Republicans while the DemonRATs can use it as cover while they continue to raid the treasury. This bias can also be used to reelect Zer0. That is the bottom line.
Sort of like castro constantly blaming the us embargo for Cuba’s failure. “The revolution must continue to fight the evil US.”
