Norway is outside the Eurozone and wallowing in oil money. Should be a good place for another 25 years, just avoid central Oslo and Bergen after dark (Muslim rapists). Oh and it’s a bit of a left-wing nanny state.
After 25 years the demographich time bomb there will start its extended detonation as the imported third worlders and their progeny start to really throw their weight around.

Actually, people like you and I stand to make a fortune in a collapse. 1 good machinist with a garage shop is worth more than 10,000 politicians in a SHTF scenario.
BTW: I just picked up a Monarch w/14.5" SW and Bridgeport.

I think a good corner of the USA will be a better bet than taking a flier on some Latin American country or other.
But I could be wrong. I guess it depends on how bad it gets here, and there.
Nowhere will be a picnic.

I would like to go back to the Midwest - Among people who think as I do.
The midwest has taken a decidedly conservative turn. As you said, "where people think like you do". Frankly an economic collapse will be global and the last place you really want to be is where you'll be a minority outsider.
Another thing that people need to consider is the tens of millions of illegals in the south will be joined by 10s of millions more. People there may find that they are minority outsiders in the places they've lived their whole lives.

This post is sickeningly pathetic.
To all those alec baldwins out there looking for greener pastures consider one image, just one image.
Imagine the bloody footprints of Washingtons volunteers as they drilled in Valley Forge. Did you get that? Bloody freaking footprints you cowards!
If you don’t have the guts to stay when the chips are down and America needs you the most, then please please leave now you wretched scum.

Odd that you bring this up. I’ve been looking at Ukraine. For all its drawbacks, it has some very positive aspects. The main one is the cost of living. Ukraine also has a cheap labor supply and the natural resources to build most of what it needs in country if push comes to shove.
As the largest country in Europe if you don’t count Russia, you can pick an area with the weather you want. Emigration and permanent residency isn’t exactly encouraged. But it is doable depending on your background.
Even with a minimal monthly social security check, you can have money left over.

Maricopa County, Arizona, where Joe Arpaio is sheriff. Not going to let that Kenyan and his gluteus maximus bandit win.

I looked at Australia back in the 80’s.
I figured it was a place that a man had room to roam, and that they shared similar values to the USA.
I would never consider the place now.
The Liberals have taken over.

If things really do collapse to that point, ME will not be among the “progressive states” because the conservative natives will drive the liberals back to the socialist hellholes they moved from.
