I think a good corner of the USA will be a better bet than taking a flier on some Latin American country or other.

But I could be wrong. I guess it depends on how bad it gets here, and there.

Nowhere will be a picnic.

I think a remote spot here in the US, where you can support and be supported by close friends and family, will be the best option.

I have a friend who is getting ready to move just outside of Los Angeles. I am very concerned for him, his wife, and their daughter, but it is a done deal so all I can do is pray that nothing happens. If the Schumer does hit the fan, I hope that they are able to get out in time. I don't know if they can get halfway across the country during such a crisis (his wife works for UPS so hopefully they can hitch a ride on a flight heading to the Louisville hub, where she currently works), but I'll keep a spare bedroom handy in case they can.
