Glenn Becks thorough interview with GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich Tuesday morning has gained traction in political news outlets throughout the day. Jim Geraghty of The National Review tweeted Bravo for a hard, fair, respectful, but deeply revealing interview of Newt! and Glynnis MacNicol of the Business Insider writes that Beck grilled Gingrich in a way conservative voters who are seriously considering voting for Newt should be eager to hear.
Below find video of the interview followed by a partial transcript:

Well I’m not going to flame you even though we’ve gone at it before on stuff.
I absolutely agree.
Sheesh.
I know, but the clips Beck played of Newt talking about global warming and health care showed how he’s not a conservative.
I don’t think sounded any worse on these answers than he did on his immigration answer last month (you know the one where his poll numbers went UP instead of DOWN). In fact, I think he sounds quite reasonable. You can only bend a twig back so far the other way before it snaps. The left got us here in a million tiny steps and now we think we’re gonna turn the tide in one election? Good luck with that.
Nice work Glen.. the Frugal Socialist Gourmet displaying recipes..
Got that turtle to come out of his shell while hes on display the fence post..

After re-affirming today his support for federal individual mandates for health care, I find it quite remarkable that members of this forum would even consider voting for N. Leroy Gingrich. Not even Mitt Romney supports that.
Or so I have been told.
Beck is RINO.
GOP needs to adapt and be more trendy and modern. Newt is the man to lead the way by setting an example. That is called real leadership.
Global Warming is settled science so we must embrace it. Individual ObamaCare mandate is constitional and fine, as Newt pointed out. Ethanol subsidies are needed and we should stop that extremist rightwinger Paul Ryan trying to reform entitlements. We must also push for Amnesty, otherwise mexicans do not like us. This is what modern conservatism should be one. After all, Era of Reagan is over.
Go Newt!

I’m desperate alright. Desperate to get rid of Obama and desperate not to replace him with Obama-lite, ie, Romney.
As I’ve explained in prior posts, my preferred conservative candidate didnt run, my second choice couldn’t get it out of the starting blocks, my third choice dropped out, and so now my pragmatic alternative choice via process of elimination is the generic candidate I believe at this time to be the most likely candidate to defeat both Romney and Obama. And at the moment, that candidate appears to be Newt Gingrich. Will know better after New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina and Florida. Then Ill lock in on someone for the duration. If Bachmann or Santorum or even Perry overtakes Gingrich and is a real threat to Romney and Obama, I’ll be more than thrilled.
Until then, GO NEWT!! Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!!
Some of his later admittedly dumb statements and doings aside, Gingrichs actual congressional record and actual conservative accomplishments are conservative enough for me in this age of Obama. Especially when compared to Obama and Romneys liberal progressive records and their purely evil accomplishments.
Obamas a Marxist abortionist. Romneys a liberal progressive abortionist.
Gingrich is a budget balancing, pro-life Reaganite!!
On the other hand, if Romney somehow ends up as the best the GOP has to offer, then it proves the Republican party is no longer a conservative party and therefore Ill no longer be a Republican. It wont be that Im leaving the Republican party, itll be that the Republican party is leaving me.
And in that case, will be looking for a tea party alternative.
GO NEWT!! FUBO!! FUMR!!
Rebellion is brewing!!
As long as we are funneling more money to the government/corporate medical monopoly, it's all good.
It’s very hard for some people to realize the nomination race is between Newt and Romney. For whatever reason, deserved for some not for all, the others simply aren’t going to win.
Fight the good fight, post whatever passionate articles you want, but that’s the reality.
so you don’t believe in forgiveness and redemption?
I recall someone else expressing sentiments like that once, but he started out a Democrat.
What’s your solution? Private pay for all medical expenses? Better be a multi-millionaire.
Actually, his positions in the past as a congressman and Speaker were quite conservative, ie, a budget balancing, pro-life Reaganite. Some of his ill-advised utterings since leaving office were dumb, and he admits that, and I think he’s now recommitting and reasserting his more traditional conservative principles. I know damn well that he’s polar opposite to Obama or Obama-lite (Romney).
